replaying the arcana again for the transcript and realizing that the meeting with the courtiers has to be so fucking funny from crow's pov because. well. as far as i remember, the courtiers dont exactly lose their memories of the night lucio died on account of their existence as. vaguely gestures towards them. demons. with the exception of valerius, who is not quite a demon like the others

so this is just the four horsemen of the apocalypse courtiers reuniting with their old coworker / glorified babysitter / situationship for the one guy who owes them pretty much 10 billion souls and hearts at this point with all the deals he's made

like yeah theyre sucking up to nadia while pretending they dont know crow but seeing his amnesiac ass walk thru the door mustve been such a fucking moment for them like "oh my god we can still win if lucio's biggest enabler is back AND we get another masquerade. we are sooooo fucking back"

Once again I’m renaming the courtier characters for my swap AU, because it would be ridiculous to have 5 love interests who have a name that starts with a V. Anyway, introducing lady Agata! About her: - is a noblewoman and a food taster at the palace - the title is not inherited, Montag granted it to her for her good service - she was homeless and starving before Montag and Nadia invited her to work at the palace - she’s resistant to many poisons and has a great health in general - got poisoned several times because many people hated and wanted to assassinate Nadia - one of the poisons had blindness as one of the first symptoms - Ilya managed to save one of her eyes though - she’s smart and polite, but very assertive if the situation requires it - often gets understimated due to her height and youthful appearance -feeds pidgeons at the town square because they were her friends when she was homeless - is a mom friend to Montag and Giorno - nags Valerius about drinking wine Volta’s canon sprite proportions imply that she’s under 5 feet tall, and I hope I did a decent job at making her look like an adult woman who just happens to be very short and petite.
