     Binoculars are deactivated and she tilts her head back to see the younger girl just a few feet away. She raises her hand, motioning for her to make her way over as she turns again kneeling at the edge of the tower of shipping containers she had taken perch on. Down below, some unfavorable looking characters bustled about, carrying around crates and boxes and loading them onto what would be an inconspicuous refrigeration truck. That is, if it wasn’t in the middle of a shipping yard.

     “ There’s been a peak in Gotham’s illegal gun trade. Now we know why. ”

She figured it wouldn’t work. Batwoman had, after all, been in the business far longer than she had been. Still, the playful side of her had to attempt it. One day, Barbara thought, she would get her. The younger bat swiftly and silently stepped beside her. Green eyes zeroed in on the crates and the people minding them. Every inch of the area was memorized. She’d file it away for the time being, to best evaluate how to take them down.

“Yes,” she hummed thoughtfully, “Anyone would miss it, if they weren’t looking.” And who would suspect a refrigeration truck? There was enough other nonsense in this city that was distracting.

Her routine was incredibly reckless. One wrong move, one mishap. How easily it would all be over. She had calculated each step before she had begun. It didn’t, of course, change how dangerous it would be. Why was she practicing at school? She couldn’t sit still, she supposed. Paperwork was the worst. Barbara had landed gracefully on her feet, when she noticed the third year.

“….This is my brother.” He quietly states, revealing his open flip phone from the blue cape surrounding him and showing them the picture on it’s screen.

“He is dressed as the younger brother of the character I am dressed as. Even though he is the older brother. …So, this is a coordinated costume.”

A critical gaze rested upon the picture. This event had been set up with the idea of encouraging interaction between their students. And yet, a loophole had been found. She hadn’t yet deduced if he had simply chosen to not ask another student, or if he felt he couldn’t ask other students.

Barbara would file this information away for later.

“...I see,” the youngest teacher hummed thoughtfully. After a long moment, she held out some candy. “You’ll have to speak to Adachi-san about the cakepops.” After all, he and Aiko baked them. She, however, could appreciate students that found loopholes.
