Where had Morty gone? After the group had exited the dorm hall, he became a rebel and went off in another direction, knowing full well that he wouldn't get lost if he used the group's energies as a sort of landmark. Even if they ever moved from the living room area they'd been instructed to go to, he would still be able to find them.
In a bold move, he'd decided to check out what the rest of the place was like. Although nothing in the surrounding area felt like it could be a threat (other than a few certain individuals in the group, that is), he still thought that it would be better to go alone. After all, if there was some sort of unexpected danger, he would be the only one immediately threatened by it and that would make things much less complicated and risky.
His exploration turned out to be as safe as expected, but not fruitless. On his journey, he'd discovered the cafeteria, an outside area, and a few more buildings. Upon further inspection, he found that there was probably no way to get out, even if they could fly; the world appeared to just stop existing at certain points. As he returned to the group, he also took note of the lift near the living room, but didn't take it down. Not yet.
Rather, he followed Jasmine's 'trail'. Luckily, she was still in the living room, and so he entered, shooting a quick glance to the tall, imposing man known as Hilarius before approaching his fellow gym leader.
Of course, he noted Sayaka, as well, the look being thrown her way nowhere near as dirty as the look he'd given to Hilarius mere moments before. In fact, this one was friendly.
All attention was turned to Jasmine afterwards, however.
"Hey, Jazz."
