Ren was almost sure that Veg had just gotten distracted by that girl he’d mentioned liking th- at worked in that bakery he liked. But you nev- er really knew with him, he could have wander- ed off chasing a pidgy that showed up on his game.

Ai give him a look and nodded ‘’Ok then well I hope your enjoy your dinner with Senri.. I have other things I need to get done then if they are leaving she thought to herself.. ‘’Oh yes I was suppose to ask if you needed any thing from the town later I will be going..’’
‘’If that is really what they are doing it would be good for him to get out.. Ren don’t worry so much when your looking for something..’’ She walks over and knees down and takes some of the papers ‘’what am I looking for?
“Not that I know of, I think I have everything that I’ll need for the next week or so.”
He turned back to the paper’s currently in hand as he answered her, deciding that the best option would be explaining exactly what bookkeeping entitled. That way she would understand it wasn’t a particular thing that he was looking for, but rather going over the papers as a whole.
“I don’t need to find anything particular, I’m just going over the finances and double checking everything. Grandpa asked me to check the things over once a week until he comes back, I figured I would go over it now so that I’d be more caught up when I go over it next week. I’m actually almost done, if you’d like some company into town.”

Ren’s question was slightly rhetorical, and partially dictated at the fact that Kaien was rushing around trying to find the box f tea he had misplaced like he would die if he didn’t find it.

Had Ren planned this? No, he most certainly hadn’t. But today wasn’t a good day, something had just broke that made him sad and even a little bit angry and he wasn’t sure what it was. And then he tried to think back on some of his better days, he tried to pull him self out of it like he had been able to do every time that it happened. He tried to remember the time his Mother had tried to make him a birthday cake and how she’d tripped and it had fallen all over his Father--it had worked for a minute or two.
But then he remembered that she was gone now and in her place was Kaname Kuran as a human being, And though that was great for Ai? Though he had helped to deliver his Mother’s message so that she wouldn’t have to do it alone? Kaname being back wasn’t something that made their mother’s death easier for him, even if she wasn’t someone he was super close to she was still his Mother. She was still someone who had always at least tried even if she hadn’t been the best when it came to some things.
And so here he was, he’d been standing like this for maybe 20 minutes not. He’d spiraled after the memory had turned sour in his head, he just wanted to forget anything having to do with pain. He’d lost Zero and now Yuuki--no matter their flaws they had loved him and knowing that there were two less people that he could say that about in the world seemed to be drowning him. He tried though, he tried to will himself to lower the gun --or at least pull the trigger and get it over with. He couldn’t do wither though, he couldn’t get his body to move at all and so the gun stayed raised to his head and his eyes stayed squeezed shut as he tried to make himself to S O M E T H I N G .

Headcanons #7 - Ichiru
Well Ren has obviously never met his Father’s Twin Brother he has heard much abut him. Bythe time Ren was born a few centuries had passed, and Zero was able to get over the grief hefelt when Ichiru was mentioned or he was reminded of him in some way or another. Becauseof this both Ai and Ren got to hear stories about their Uncle; from how when he was youngerhim and Zero were so close too how alone he had felt and what it had caused. Ren as an adultvery much relates to what Ichiru went though, and he kind of wishes that his Uncle was therefor him to talk to about it. But he also is determined not to go down a path like he did, and sohe had found a few people to talk to and who he can trust over the year so he doesn’t feel asalone as he might if he hadn’t found them.

Headcanon #6 - Fear:
There isn’t much that Ren currently fears, he accepts that loss is a part of life and heaccepts even immortals will eventually die. He accepts that not everything is under he’scontrol and also that someday he will have to take on the responsibility of being the Headof the diminishing hunters association when his Father dies. He does fear letting peopledown though, namely people that he cares deeply about. He fears that someday he mightended dying or being killed not because he would die, but because of how it would affectthe few people that he has personally grown to deeply care about and care about him thesame.

Headcanon #5 - Happiness:
Ren tends to always be somewhere between ‘content’ and ‘happy’, though there aredays where he’ll be pushed into a more depressive state–for the most part he stay’ssomewhere in the middle. Days when he is truly and utterly happy though are veryvery rare, and he will cherish those memories forever, and uses them to get throughhis darker days. Happiness is something that he is very grateful for, because if itwasn’t for the happy moments he doesn’t see how the seemingly pointless ending ofdays could hold any meaning in the scheme of things. Happiness is something thatRen feel’s can push the universe forward all on it’s own.
HC+ Weaponry
Headcanon #4 - Weaponry:
Ren prefers not to use a weapon, tending to like relying on the extra strength he has due tobeing the son of a Pureblood of the Kuran line and a Hunter of the prestigious Kiryu line. It’ssomething that worry’s some, thinking that he’ll one day meet a vampire he can’t face withonly his bare hands. And so to pacify them he’s taken to carrying around a hunters weaponin the form of a long knife that he keeps sheathed in a pocket on the inside of his jacket,meant specifically for that weapon.
Headcanon #3 - Giving Blood:
Ren is not someone who would openly offer someone his blood, save for if a vampire he would die for was injured badly enough that they needed it and no one else was around. He doesn’t like the feeling of his blood being drawn from him, and it almost makes him want to attack. However even more firmly he would never allow someone to drink from his neck, not wanting them to be able to per into him in a way that he can not control. It ever giving blood to another he would make them drink from his arm or wrist, even if people have told him that giving blood from the neck is more comfortable.
Headcanon #2 - Touch:
Ren very much dislikes being touched, though he is pretty good at hiding it. Normally he keeps up a guard, watching for unwanted contact and bracing himself for it so that he people like his sister or parents wont see how much being touched bothers him- being able to do as much without realizing it sometimes because of it becoming a natural reflex over the years. With people hes more conferrable around though such as Liza(@remedialmelody), his grandfather(@thevampirewithoutfangs) or his grandfather’s partner(@isaya-shoto) it’s possibly that he’ll let his guard down a bit.
This isn’t because he’s okay with contact with them any more than he is with other people, but because these people know, understand and can respect for the most part that he doesn’t like being touched. Even if once in a while they might be prone to slip ups and make some kind of contact with him they are people who will understand that he doesn’t mean anything by it when he flinches away from their touch.
Headcanon #1 - Family:
Well Ren knows that his parents and sister do care about him, he can’t help but feel that he’s seen as less important than Ai. A lot of this comes from whispers he has heard from aristocrats; but also from his being asked to give Ai blood on more than once and feeling like he couldn’t and shouldn’t refuse, even if he wan- ted to. Because of this no matter how well he may appear get along with any of them in a articular instance, he will return to trying to avoid them after the fact.

“You shouldn’t touch strangers anyway, I could have easily injured you right then if I had wanted to or had been in the wrong mindset when touched.”
Ren can stand being around @isaya-shoto better than he can @thevampirewithoutfangs and sometimes he wonders how the calm pureblood deals with his overly active boyfriend or tbh probably husband by the time Ren is born
