&&. LEIA
walking into one of the common areas on base with the intent of scrounging up some food, her path is interrupted when she spied a familiar face in the crowd of strangers milling around for supplies. it took her a second to place her, memory searching for a name that fit. deathstar. plan. death.
jyn erso.
the resistance was really reaching into the archives. leia’s eyes dipped down, and she focused on grabbing a ration pack, debating whether it would be odd to approach erso. sacrifice that allowed for the success of her mission- what does one say to someone who gave up so much?
she chanced another look and this time, erso’s eyes met her own. leia mustered a gentle smile (chagrin present in her eyes from having been caught). she gestured to a nearby empty table, perfect for the two to sit at- if the other felt so inclined.
she’d met eyes with another who seemed to have a sense of importance to her - - though not obnoxious or overbearing. and she did look familiar which set her nerves at rest although jyn kept her wits about her as always. once the other motioned to an empty table, jyn hesitated before taking the cue and taking a seat and waiting for the other to join. the woman reminded her of that kid... luke, she remembered. a sweet guy, but she didn’t know much about his or his family. if her assumption was correct, this was likely his sister which he’d thanked her for indirectly reuniting him with. ❝ can i help you? ❞ jyn asked - - not in annoyance or anything close, but genuine curiosity.
