Stuff for this month’s Character Design challenge.  It was final fantasy theme and there’s really only one FF that held a childhood resonance for me.  The characters are not ones where you can just pick one for.  SO I went with how the main character bonds with EVERYONE.  haha the old fixation returns to me every so often

Day thirteen- Commemorate a dead character Original Princess Garnet Some drivel under the cut:-

Hopefully I haven’t spoiled what I’m sure is a shocking revelation (in a game that’s over 15 years old). But more spoilers below I guess.

I just have a lot of questions about this poor, sickly child who got a throw away line at best. Did the populace know she died? How did they explain replacing her with Dagger? Were the castle staff sworn to silence? Did she even get a proper grave since they apparently covered her death up? I mean what are the odds another child turned up the same age and look, aside from the horn, around the time the daughter died?

I have too many feelings about this child who was replaced and forgotten. : (

I still can’t really figure what ‘my style’ is but uh.. here it is. If it was also a cartoon. I just needed a really flimsy excuse to try the whole fake screenshot thing out. I was originally considering drawing this like a 90s anime (hence the 4:3) but didn’t really fancy it in the end.

Moving Commission #1, for sirsmudge!! This was such a delight to work on; Final Fantasy IX is one of my favorite games, and this is probably my first time seriously drawing Kuja? About time.

This was a commission for a good friend of mine that I did last summer that I never posted. He wanted Vivi from Final Fantasy IX casting a spell that looked like Windwaker style smoke! I hope you guys love it.

FFIX - Dinner and a show

I’ve never played a final fantasy game before but I started IX last month and I’ve been totally digging it, so I doodled my fav playable characters

I wanted to stop in and gush about how much I love all of your art, but my weakness is having Quina art that isn't pointy toothed Quina-about-to-eat-someone. But as strange and charming as Quina was in game.

Thanks for popping in! The world could always do with more friendly Quina art. It’s not all about chowing down on hapless creatures and team mates.Ain’t that right, Quina?

Also apologies to you merry lot for the lack of art lately. I’m still about, just got my claws full with various bits and bobs currently.
