i’m very happy for bts of course but…the camera work with their performance inevitably took away from their stage and revealed a lot about the sensationalism surrounding their group. billboard is obviously less enthused with the talent of bts and more so interested in showcasing their popularity…it completely disregards who they are as artists and carries some heavy implications about how they are viewed. barely being able to make out the choreography and actual performance while what seems to be more than half of the screen time being focused on fan reactions is very transparent…if they valued bts more as a group, they would put more focus on who they are and what they’re doing rather than putting a focal point on their reception.
