blood means nothing because blood can betray. blood can hurt you. destiny lies to you. nothing is promised. soul mates? nope. none of us are made to complete anyone but ourselves.

but a choice? there is nothing more powerful. every day i wake up and i choose you. and you choose me. and our impermanence holds power. our decisions hold power. like the very lives we live there is nothing guaranteed about us and we have to fight so hard to protect the little things we hold dear. but there’s a beauty in that isnt there?
