WE DID IT! All 88 counties! Lima was our last stop and it had like many others a sandstone outside and doors that you could not actually use. Courthouses we will miss you.

Wapakoneta. Mostly known for a strange name, being the home of Neil Armstrong, and being the second to last county on our trip.
We are almost there! With just a few stops left we hit up Sidney. My favorite part was the art lifting up core aspects of Shelby county. Agriculture. Industry. Civic government. Education.
We arrive in Troy and found for the millionth time on our trip that the courthouse steps were closed. Also closed: the Hobart plant which was especially sad for Hannah since Hobart made the dishwasher at camp wanake.
We saw courthouses old and new in Dayton as well as a lovely gathering square. We also learned about the flood of 1913 which was actually a big deal for most of Ohio.
Warren county. Home of kings island, the oldest hotel in ohio, and this remodeled courthouse.
Traveling east from Cincinnati we discovered quaint Batavia. A lovely small town however there were no people around. Maybe they were all at home being disappointed by ohio state football.
Made a quick stop in the nasty nati because things were questionable around the courthouse. The most exciting thing was when we found ourselves briefly in Kentucky on the ultimate ohio road trip. No worries though we made it back into Ohio!
OK darke county redo. Coffee shops. Yup.
Getting close to cincinnasty, we landed in Hamilton, Butler County. No we did not congregate on the steps.
Here is Eaton, in Preble County. So many farmers markets today...
Mercer County is the home to Celina and Grand Lake St. Mary's which was built as a feeder for the canal back in the 1800s. We saw said lake, a small farmers market, and a booming McDonalds. And I mean BOOMING. At 10:15. Am.
Hi from Van Wert! Our first stop this morning was VanWert county. We got our picture and then drove past the county fair. Apparently there was money in VanWert at one time because they had many awesome old homes. Had to get mom adjusted to our vibe on this stop, but now she knows what to do.
The characters of Newark definitely hang out at the Licking County courthouse. This made for a quick visit as we do not participate in the Thug life.
Have you ever visited the Ohio Statehouse? We hadn't and were totally surprised at what a great place it is. We could have spend hours there if we weren't on a time constraint. But in just our short visit we saw the outside, a listing of all the counties by the date they were formed, the rotunda which of course had a giant portrait of Commodore Perry, and a museum. We also met the nicest state highway patrolmen ever who work in the Capitol building. We strongly suggest a visit.
Franklin county features more of a court skyscraper than a courthouse but it was still enjoyable. Little did we know that an even more exciting stop was mere minutes away.
Having seen the suburban nature of Delaware county we were not excepting the quaintness of this courthouse. But it was nice and Delaware actually features a cute old school downtown with hip new businesses as well as the most intense do not use the front door sign we have seen.
