A Giveaway

Her eyes are too sad to be framed against the tropical sun set. Yet they are. They remain a sad shade of brown. Sad brown eyes crinkle despite their disposition. A façade of happiness shrouds them, and for a moment you believe they really are happy. But if you look close enough you can see their true nature.

The song that’s stuck in my head was from you You didn’t sing it but I heard it in your voice because it’s true You didn’t need to even speak it because your eyes betrayed you Your feelings are portrayed in everything that you do

Self evaluation

Just a wave Just a glance I thought I was over this Not a chance I never grow up I never learn And still this passion inside me yearns Get up Grow up Stop blaming your failures on your mess-ups Start understanding that you can't do it all, be it all That you are never going to see it all And what happens when you fall? I guess next time you won't stand as tall

I’ve made a place in my heart, I’ve made a place you can stay. Please don’t rip me apart. Please don’t throw me away.

When I look at the sky, all I see are your eyes. When you pass me by, My blush will be my demise.

You didn’t have to leave, I have a place for you to go. Remain in yourself and grieve; for sorrow is all you know. Don’t read past the lines. Don’t push your heart too hard. By tomorrow it will all be fine, even if you’re scarred

When you look for too long, all you get are glances. When you sing your song, you have to be open to chances.

The world has no place in my mind, the world has no place in your soul. Please don’t slander your kind. Please don’t call me whole.

I just want to be free, if I’m ever given the chance. Just accept me for me, and end this night with a dance.

The Constant Battle

I must keep the desires of my heart and mind apart Or else their two motives will keep tearing me apart My heart screams at me to push, to give in and succumb to what my flesh craves My mind battles with a future in mind, begging me to behave But I've said it out loud, I've made my commitment Which makes either side of me impossibly indifferent

You make me dream things I never knew I would. You make me hope for possibilities I don't think I should.

My deep breaths are but shallow imitations, reminding me of my certain fate Although I cling firmly to my procrastination, I can only fear that it's already too late

yet another sad truth

I cannot articulate the very wantings of my soul because I cannot reach them. I am too weak. I am too lost to be guiding us through. You are better off without me and I'll be worse off without you.

The last thing you want to do is break my heart and the last thing I want to be is broken. All we can to right now is dance around the truths that are unspoken.

I have too many thoughts that demand to be heard but then so many others that can't be put into words.

A sad truth

Making promises with careless ease but truly intending to keep every one of them just to please

And with every blink I held my breath in anticipation to again be reunited with the flame that burned within those deep brown eyes of yours.

the battlefront of love

I think we've come to a stalemate Neither one of us have the advantage here We're both suffering on the front lines All because of the fear of being honest

We're quite fickle with our jesters And very choosy with our words So pay attention when I tell you That I think that you're a nerd Because I love you's are complex

Categorize Crazy

She's the type of crazy that the media shows you, the type of crazy that you've gotten use to. I'm the type of crazy that's less obvious to see, my type of crazy is specific to me. You're the type of crazy that drives me insane, your type of crazy makes hers and mine look the same.

Bright Voice

Stranger, Your eyes give you away. I recognize the passion that flares within them. Traveler, Could I bribe you to stay? I could use another bright voice among the shadows.

"I care about you" "I don't want to break your heart" You said it from the beginning, you've known from the start. My breath is ragged, broken heart already jagged. But you could break me in a different way, you know this so you decided not to stay But we're just figuring this out Discovering who we are I don't even know who I am How am I suppose to know who you are?
