my thoughts on the actor's strike and the chosen
In case you haven't heard, filming of season 4 has halted due to the actor's strike. (They are currently asking the Screen Actor's Guild for an exception because the show is independent rather than being connected to a major studio.)
Listen, I really, really want season 4. But more than that, I want writers and actors to receive fair compensation and protections. We waited YEARS between seasons 1 and 2. I don't mind waiting a little longer for season 4 until the strike is resolved.

Hey, hope you're doing well! Have you been able to keep up with The Chosen? I can imagine you're crazy busy, but just letting you know I miss your blog updates (including non-Chosen content :3)

I've seen the first few episodes of the season so far, but I havent been able to keep fully up to date with it! I'm hoping once life settles back down this month I'll be able to come back to actually regularly posting on this blog.
I'm thinking about reorganising what that looks like a little, but I havent really come to any conclusions. I'd love to actually be able to have more discussions with people about stuff on here as well. So if anyone has comments on what they like seeing I'd love to hear it!
I'm definitely hoping to be back in the next month or so. I'm still floating around tumblr, so i definitely see when people send me asks or reblog stuff, i just havent been posting much on this blog (fingers crossed I'll be back soon, i miss you guys)

Hope you're well and getting to watch the new Chosen eps! Looks like Lazarus, Martha and Mary will appear in E3 on Christmas Day!!
I cannot put into words how keen i am for this!!!! Mary, Martha and Lazarus are my absolute favourites. The girls had better be in this episode or i will cry if its just Lazarus and i have to wait until the next one.
Also bonus points, if they show up for the first time in season 3, hopefully this means they get to be recurring characters for the rest of the show (viva la mary martha and lazaras for as much screen time as possible)

My thoughts:
As more and more characters get introduced, the vibe feels a little different, but I'm here for it
Um, Joanna??? I love her??? I'm so curious to see where her character goes. Also it seems like she's one of the first non-Jewish women? (But they're not super clear on her or Tamar, so I'm curious to see how they take it
Actually I'm just here for more of the women in general
Andrew and "do not be anxious", my heart
Also (I dont remember if it was episode 1 or 2) Andrew apologising to Mary, and Mary being like "i dont know anyones ever apologised to me before" i want to cry
Judas is going to break my heart i just know it
Also knowing where its going to end up with John, but not knowing WHEN the show is going to do it... but also Jesus like 'andrew you should go now, it would be good for you' has the vibes of 'you wont be able to do it again' as unspoken
eDEN i love her so much she's actually my favourite character
Matthew and his family??? Matthews parents being at the sermon on the mount???? Did they see him? Did they notice what he was doing?? That he had other people with him?? How jesus interacted with him?? How must that have felt???
Anyway yes, that is the brief (chaotic) summary of my thoughts, and i would love to hear other peoples too
I was fortunate enough to block off time to go yesterday. I get having to prioritize other things :( Do you have time off for Thanksgiving weekend? Praying it runs long enough for you to go!!
That's so good that you got to to! Unfortunately I'm in Australia, and we don't have a thanksgiving weekend to have off!

I'd love to, but we'll have to see how long its in cinemas for - I don't have the free time to go see it right at the moment (and I'm devastated!)

Is the youngest, late teens/early twenties when Jesus starts His ministry. Is the ✨baby✨ whether she likes it or not.
I always saw her personality as being like an ENFJ I guess? Also, she would rather learn new things than be stuck doing chores much to Martha’s frustration.
Mary is super close with Martha and Lazarus and cannot see a life without them.
Is super close with Jesus as well and sees Him as another big brother. When she was little she would end up falling asleep on Him if it was a late night. She still does it and when she wakes up everyone promptly teases her.
Her hair gets played with, people use her as armrests, gets picked up, just things short people have to deal with.
If Taylor Swift existed in that time period she’d be a hardcore swiftie I am so sorry😂😂😂
