there's been talk about over nine hours of footage and storytelling cut from the final film that we know as fire and ash, but also that it was supposed to be a singular movie that continued the story in the way of water, which means there had to have been SO much cut. and the rumor about why ronal was killed off, whether it be kate winslet was bullied out of the role, or if her death was simply written in the script before casting even as a parallel for tsireya's development (to neytiri losing her own father) factors into why we may not have gotten a ceremony, to demonstrate how war does not discriminate BUT!! the fact that there was no mention of a mourning ceremony for the tsahìk of a clan who seems very matriarchal and connected to eywa is INSANE!! the tsahìk is the one who holds the highest standing in a clan because of the connection to eywa, and her homegoing is going to be a marvel, especially as ronal was the tsahìk of the largest sea clan we know of thus far. I WANTED TO SEE PEOPLE BEING SAD!! why is her mate, her other half of her soul not grieving????? why do we not get tonowari like at least feeling her death through the bond of their mating connection that was established when they mated???? why do we not see him or their children with the mourning stripe or any mourning garments??? why do we not see tsireya or ao'nung visibly reeling from the trauma of watching their BEST FRIEND DIE and then seeing neytiri carry only their newborn sister in her arms without their mother with her???? why does it feel like we'll only get a quick flashback of everyone mourning when losing a tsahìk likely has a mourning period of YEARS, if not DECADES????
