There’s a Kabutops giveaway happening today on Smogon’s Facebook page (7/9/16) and I was able to get to make the art for it again this week, this time featuring one of my favorite Gen 1 Pokemon, Kabutops! It was a lot of fun going back to digital after a solid month of Pastel work, and this was definitely the highlight of my week. Hope you enjoy! User Kamekaze on Pokemon Showdown appeared in the PS!Art room about a week ago looking to have someone fix up his custom avatar as it had been previously declined for not fitting the style of existing sprites. I was bored and willing to procrastinate on projects, so 1.5 hours later, this was the result. Figured I’d post this here in lieu of having not posted any new sprites in awhile, not sure if this whole Showdown sprite edit will become a thing, probably won’t but who knows. More art coming after final exams.

As a way to practice some watercolor techniques I’ve picked up over the past semester and break in my first 12x9" watercolor pad, I decided to redesign an old design, give it a facelift and go nuts. Liking the result (and still waiting for Smogon to upload the article with my latest digital piece), I figured I’d post Chandelure here in the mean time. Been working on this for the past week. First finalized piece from the Veiled line. +)

First draft of Mew Veiled. Not quite as grotesque as the others, but there’s reason for that. Would have the power to transform freely to mimic other Veiled and also shift the form of its limbs while having heavy prowess in psychic potential. Mew’s tail in this form can also function as a whip.

Recently I offered a request on Pokemon Showdown in support of the new request system. For payment, I offered to draw in Colors3D a pokemon of the commissioners choice, in this case being Zangoose. I plan on cleaning up the proportions and such in PS later and then starting work through the week. Should be a fun piece.

Returned to an old concept involving Kingdra and sketched out the full design, inked it today. New smogon art should come out of NDA within the next week or so, this time for an article. +)

Daily Draw Day 33

As promised, some of the Architecture work that’s been keeping me from sketching this weekend. There are a lot of things dealing with Site Analysis and such as well, but I figure its better to not bog people down with my student work.  More regularly scheduled DD postings will hopefully resume within the week. +)

Don't worry guys, the Daily Draw chain has been continuing recently, but its been two smaller NDA pieces that I'll be posting later on when they become publicly available. I think you'll like them a lot. +) When I haven't been doing NDA work for Smogon, I've been doing a few really large projects for college. I'llprobably be uploading some of the images here as compensation for no weekend updates, so that's something to look forward to I guess? Talk to you guys later. +)
