No matter how many times this trope is used and reused in series, I always fall for it: an awkward and lonely boy gets a declaration of love from the most popular guy in the school. This will never get old. I think there is an inherent charm in those stories because it shows that whatever you can consider your flaws, there is someone else who will find them endearing. Overthinking can truly be the little mind death because sometimes it's just simpler than it appears.
I loved that Asamiya tried to make Mayama understand that his confession wasn't a prank or only to start a friendship. Now that he confessed his feelings, he is going to make sure his crush understands why he loves him and to get to know each other. I'm curious about their first conversation and how it made Asamiya notice Mayama and perhaps it was the starting point for his crush.
Overall, I think it's how gentle and soft speaking he is with Mayama that I find really charming. As for Mayama, he really embodies the awkwardness of being a teenager, not knowing how to react and being really sensible because of some events in the past. It may not be the most groundbreaking premise, but sometimes the simplest story can hide an interesting journey.
Nesting can be done at any time for an omega. They make a nest as a comfy place full of their favorite smell: aka their alpha.
It’s where they go to feel safe when feeling vulnerable. And most notably, they use the nest when their heat is close, because they need their alpha’s smell to get through it. They also nest during pregnancy. Also omegas get territorial over their nest too - only their alpha can join. We don’t want other smells ruining the vibes. [source 1, source 2]
An alpha making a nest for their omega is like the ultimate romantic gesture. Because it shows they want their mate to be comfy and loved.
Now in ep 6, Phatsa is feeling hella depressed about his new life. He feels trapped in the house because Nakhun won’t let him stay at the cafe longer. He’s made some progress but he very much still feels like an outsider. He feels trapped in his own body because it’s going through a second puberty and his hormones are all out of wack.
We also have the addition of his shit dad who unloads family drama on him about his mom and how he kept him from knowing anything about the omegaverse. He has a breakdown with his dad and then again on the terrace of their house.
Phatsa mentions he’s feeling tired. We can tell he’s not eating properly. But we know he’s depressed. Ai, Jim, and Nakhun’s mom think they are helping but it’s just making his depression worse.
No one wants to be constantly forced to try and drink strange juices. Jim doesn’t like that he’s using the stairs as a slide for entertainment. He throws up after drinking that juice and smelling a flower. He’s just feeling down and everything they are doing is just making it worse.
And the one thing that’s calming him down: Nakhun’s pheromones on clothes.
He started hiding shirts under his pillow because the smell was making him feel safe. And we see him tell Jim to not move things around.
Jim is invading his “nest” - and I use that loosely because it’s just their room at the moment. Nakhun is also being a workaholic instead of a doting partner. So another part of his depression is also just the bond making him miss his alpha who keeps being absent.
When Nakhun is told his omega might be pregnant - boy is this alpha over the moon. He’s now cuddling his omega and giving him all the scenting he could need. And then he realizes his shirts are missing and builds him a nest. and jim will not be allowed in

When sleeping Phatsa is placed in the nest, his body is instantly happy. He’s subconsciously pulling the fabrics close. He rolled over because his body could tell where the strongest scent of his alpha was coming from - the main source. And he curled up into him to feel safer.
He now has this little space just for him to go and feel safe in a house full of other alphas/betas who were yucking up his smells.
I fully expect Phatsa to be staying in this constantly and refusing to leave because he’s comfy. And Jim isn’t allowed to do their laundry for a while.
