We’re back home; unpacking, cleaning up and getting our shit together. I’ll attempt to post the rest of the trip, but if you hear nothing just assume I’ve been sucked back into work.
It happens.
OR to IL – Day 2
Day 2 was certainly an event. Leaving Idaho we hit the mountains and snow and it was dramatic; check out the stunning frozen lake.
The archway made from antlers was in Jackson, WY. The town looked pretty neat; we would have spent some time there if schedule had permitted.
After Jackson, we headed further up the mountains and into some serious snow. You can see in one photo where it’s starting to take over the road. Shortly after it became patches of road in a sea of white. Jon assured me he was taking more photos, but it turns out he was too busy trying to get phone reception. It was sporadic, but he managed to fit in leaving a message with his brother letting him know they might not see each other again.
It looked worse than it was though. I’m not saying I was never concerned, there were moments when all you could see was white, but mostly the snow was thin and loose enough on the road that any skidding quickly got your tires in contact with the road underneath.
As we came down off the mountains you’ll see the landscape became desert-like.
A very memorable day’s drive indeed.
OR to IL - Day 1
Jon only got four months notice for the show in Chicago, and he’s done a pretty awesome job of pulling it together.
We hit the road yesterday. I love road trips! The VW has been great so far – very comfortable. There’s been some snow, but nothing too extreme.
We’re currently in a hotel room in Burley, Idaho, morning of Day 2, getting ready to leave.
Talk at you soon!
Aarf Aarf
I don’t want to duplicate posts from Aarfie, but I figured I might at least start mentioning what’s going on there – since it’s pretty much all that is going on with me at the minute.
So recently completed projects include this and this.
Right now we’ve knocked over a rush job for an LA Marathon related organisation, just in time for the marathon (tomorrow). I expect I can’t link to it yet, but I’ll post it when I can.
Also whipped up a site for our good friends the Monstre Hero clan, for their side project Monstreuse Studios. They’re filling in the content now, so it won’t be live for another week or so I guess.
Current jobs include sites for a couple of t-shirt companies, a hospital fund-raising guild, an aura-spray (?) whatchmajigga and a retired actor. Cool huh? More info on those soon!
Sun
We got a little taste of sun this weekend. For the first time, I can’t wait for summer.

It’s a day off, I think. The plan is to clean the house. Is that really a day off?
Hopefully I can wrap that up and get a chance to do some josh posting tonight.

no day off. no surprise.
maybe next weekend.
New Year
Boy, I forgot how many of those things I scheduled over Christmas. There are a couple more before they run out too. I was home alone, you know…
Anyway, now that I’ve successfully frightened off anyone that tuned in to this blog to keep up with my week-to-week with these gratuitous “skin pics” (as Tim B. calls them), I thought I’d mention too late that “The World Is A Fine Place…” and “Just Listen” pieces of this blog will merge and move to their own home. It’s a side project I’m working on whenever I get a spare minute. It will be fun. You’ll see.
So Josh will revert to my plain little cubby hole in the corner of the interwebs, where my family and friends can tune back in without concern for being faced with a naked penis.
I’ll explain the plan more when it’s ready. At the minute we’re flat out. Aarfie has seven, about to be eight this week I think, projects underway simultaneously and Jon has committed to a gallery showing at Rotofugi in April. Crazy busy.
We’re going to force this weekend off, or at least this Sunday off, so hopefully I’ll get a chance to expand on this plan, maybe even implement this plan, and blog a little about goings on.
Happy New Year! Love, Tim
This stuff is good...

I quite enjoyed the new Star Trek movie.
Dollars and Degrees
They’re both way down.
Cooking: Scones
These are yum. Not your traditional scone, but somewhere between scone and muffin perhaps. Nothing wrong with that.
We’ve made them about four or five times since these photos were taken.
