Matt and Karen in Born Again are literally everything I wanted them to be from the original show: honest, supportive, unbearably in love. the fact that they actually work as partners??? flabbergasting. revolutionary. And ohhh I am Missing Nelson, Murdock, and Page with my whole soul 😭.

Season 2 of DDBA feels like someone took the giggly romance of season 2 and the insane detective-partner chemistry of season 3 (Which I've been always praying for 🤓) and mashed them together into something personally designed to destroy me. I am sat. I am seated. And I am all in. Karedevil nation we have never been more alive🙏🏻

I’ve been chatting the ears off all my oomfs (you know who you are) about the way DDBA season 2 has really leaned into the golden imagery this season and it’s only fair I swoon about that on here as well.

Matt being happy and more upbeat with Karen’s return, to the extent where he carries the mantle of optimism even when she’s dogged by doubts and too burdened to shoulder hopefulness and the way this transformation all happens just because she breathed life back into him by reinstating her confidence in *him* (both the Devil and the man) no matter the dark path his thoughts meandered into……yeah I am NOT shutting up about this anytime soon🫠

I speak a lot about Karen being his North Star and episode 1 with a title playing on the same moniker definitely hints towards the same.

However if she is his Sun, then Matt’s definitely the Moon reflecting that belief she’s shown right back at her during these bleak times.

Matt Murdock is literally the luckiest stinky man in the world when it comes to Karen Page. 😭❤️

I really, really would have liked to see more of how we got here, but at the same time, I will freely acknowledge that it would have been impossible to do a time skip of more than like two days without them having already fallen back into each other's arms, so...

Karen clearly decided she was coming back for this man in every way possible.

The two little details that I will not shut up about to anyone who will listen:

Karen's little laugh after the "Then I guess tonight was a pretty good night" / "It could get better" exchange, which spoke volumes and I will be rewatching about a million times

And the way Matt touched her cheek when he was apologizing during their little sparring bit and her smile in response. My heart seriously is going to explode (sorry Cherry).
