If you are adding a note/commenting about how you "need to get in contact with me" but you like, won't tell me why in the comment, I'm not responding.
I responded in dms to ONE person I saw who had done that before I realized there were more. I will not be dming anyone else with a similar request/statement.
If you need to contact me, give me at least a vague idea of what you want, (to hire me, a commission, inquiries about the characters I've drawn, ect) and we can go from there.
so, since the Threadville has a fuckin rank system and you have to be rank 2 to post fanart (and im excited + i didn't really join to talk, i just wanna post/veiw fanart and teasers, thats it, plus, nothing tells you how much you have to do to level up and im not fuckin with the whole "you just gotta talk enough" like???? What even is enough, and how do i see my damn level?? I'm confused and also think it's bullshit.) so im just gonna post my drawings here! Traditional, digital, and a wip as a treat.
and because of how Tumblr has decided to upload stuff, its in order from newest to oldest. Enjoy!
(shoutout to Drama Kween, the youtuber in the corner of the last screenshot. Her and her sister, Haylo Hayley, really entertain me. I enjoy them :3 )
He came to me in a daydream i had while listening to music, though i dont quite know to song name of the artist by heart, I'll comment it if i figure it out!
Anyways, here's (, not in order,) his original doodle i made just to get the design out before it faded, how that doodle looks cleaned up and in full color, a height chart of him next to Optimus Prime (22ft), and the discord messages of the story about how he ended up joining the Autobots! (For some reason, its easier to write out a story on discord than it is anywhere else for me...)
(p.s: in one of the story screenshots, the last one, they are in backwards order btw, it has a cut, but do not fear! The part after a cut is just some of what was before the cut, skim ahead a bit and you'll see the new section just fine.)
GIVE IT UP FOR MY FIRST EVER TRANSFORMERS OC, BREAKER!!!
(if you've even glanced at my main anytime in the past month or so you've probably been expecting this)
He is inspired by theater masks, and as such, the whole inspo for his design is that he has rotating faceplates that each have different emotions! I split them in half horizontally so he can emote more too! His name, Breaker, is based on the phrase "break a leg" and he transforms into a speaker, since they are a fairly common item in modern theater so the actor's voices are better heard.
V2 coloring: He is mostly blue because I've often heard it described as an "emotional" color, but the red is supposed to mimic the red ribbons on theater mask imagery, which is why it's in thinner lines. His eyes are more detailed and faintly glow.
The prototype and current appearance, in that order:
Keep reading for more info!
So, the prototype page, (although the text is mostly unreadable,) is still here mostly to show the mechanics of him! (I JUST REALIZED I FORGOT HIS SCREW MOLE AAAAAA!!!) there are 4 different emotion plates, each in halves; Happy, sad, suspicious, and angry. The four faceplates are shown stored in a circle on his face. When his faceplate turns to switch out for another one, only his optics and inner mouth (of the outwardly visible features,) do not move, staying still in a slightly scary, yet quite interesting way.
Among the other notes that aren't decipherable, i made certain to note that he can only express whatever emotion his face (as a whole) displays, meaning that, though he is an emotional and open book, he can also have items jammed into the gaps to stick his face to a certain emotion. His faceplates are very close to his helm, thus, making it rather easy to jam something in, as long as you can get close enough while keeping him at whatever emotion you need.
One of the reasons this is mentioned is it could be very useful for an enemy to know; Breaker doesn't fight unless he is displaying a negative emotion. (Besides sad and its similar sorts, of course.) if an enemy can manage to get Breaker stuck as happy or sad or a combination that is more akin to those two, then he will effectively be passive. Though this seems like a huge disadvantage, his enemy probably won't think of that to be honest, so he's fine.
Although he can only display to emotion stuck on his face, it doesn't mean he wont be feeling others, he just cannot physically express them, like, at all. Having his faces stuck is an extremely horrifying situation for him, and thus, is a reason he tends not to like people touching anywhere near his face. The experience of a stuck faceplate is especially bad if you think about the fact that when he panics, (which he 100% will be if he cannot change his emotion,) his faceplates will spin/switch faster and faster the more distressed he becomes; meaning you will be able to hear the rattling of his faceplate against the item get louder and more frantic as he begins to absolutely freak out just below the surface.
His antenna is purely because i thought he looked bald and needed something; it is only for vanity but he can still use it to pick up signals.
I have not decided which group he is a part of, or if he even confines himself to one group. He is a caring man who seems a bit eccentric, but he means well. He offers help to those he meets (that are, at minimum, peaceful to him.) and is quite resourceful when the time calls, but he's not much of a fighter. He can make a screech with his speakers (loud, annoying, disruptive,) but it affects him as well, though, he is more used to it. He enjoys a couple of pranks, but he mostly enjoys harmless ones, nothing destructive or mean, just silly things.
To offset all of this lovely personality he's got goin on, i also made him a bit dense, not too much, but it's noticeable. He is fairly awkward in social situations, preferring to be in a small group to socialize, often saying odd or uncharacteristically stupid things when talking to a larger group; The larger the group, the dumber he sounds.
