"Well, I wish I could tell you more but I’m afraid I would only make a fool of myself and not being of any help at all." again, Evangeline wasn’t feeling any stressed on on the edge of a mental breakdown as some of the people that had been waiting for their turn along with her, though it was incovenient all the same. "I’m sure you will be able to fix it a heartbeat, I mean, I really don’t think it’s anything that worrying…" she said, while thinking that great, now to keep up with Sherlock I get viruses on my computer… oh- now that she made the mental connection she finally realized where she had seen that forehead and jaw shape already. Sure, it wasn’t so hard to see - she smiled almost satisfied of herself: “It must be a real blessing to have someone who understands about computers. Unfortunately it seems like dancers don’t have any inclinations for technology at all, so I can’t rely on anyone.”
"Oh you're a dancer?" Ollie looked away from the monitor for a moment after she'd set their virus and malware scan to work instead of hers. It'd be far more thorough and then she could really get down to whether it was a soft or hardware problem. "That's pretty cool. Classical or, uh, modern?" She asked, completely out of her depth but curious all the same. She knew that there were classical dancers, at least, and by all accounts the woman in front of her looked much more like a classical dancer than any other kind. Ollie really couldn't picture the lithe looking woman dancing to anything other than some finely tuned orchestra, ebbing and flowing in her movement with the music.
She looked back to check on it, eyes scanning over the possible threats that they'd found. There was nothing serious yet, but it could very easily change. She turned back to the customers, smiling down the short little line and waving.
"We have a small area to sit, if you don't mind waiting. This won't take more than fifteen minutes." She spoke in her people voice, polite and almost apologetic. Two of the people in line moved to take seats off to the side, while one stubbornly stayed standing. She shook her head, still smiling and looking back to the computer. "People." She muttered, amused.

Evangeline looked at her with an amused smile, and shook her head when the girl suggested what she might have done wrong. “It just didn’t turn on today. I can assure you that I neither diagnosed nor run anything, I use my computer only to watch ballet dvds and movies other people download - oh, and to take a look at some blogs, but they are fairly famous so I don’t think there is nothing wrong with them. And as for ballet dvds, I hope no one bothers to put anything wrong in them.” she considered, as she took a look at the girl in front of her - though she didn’t do it on purpose, she was intrigued by her: she had already seen her features, but she was fairly sure they had never met before. “If it’s not a bother for you - I don’t, really use it much, it’s not urgent, but if you have time…”
"S'not quite what running a diagnostic means, but A for effort." She teased, already opening up the laptop and plugging it into another monitor. "Chances are either your monitor's gone bad or someone accidentally downloaded a virus along with one'a the movies you mentioned. That's a good place to pick up a lotta nasty bugs. An' blogs can have malware written into Java script coded on them, so it's best to check before hand. Most people don't know better, but it's a quick fix if it's not a big virus, and even if it is then I've gotcha covered. I've got time anyway. I already fixed my dad's dumb laptop for him." She smiled, shaking her head fondly as the boot screen appeared on the other monitor and she entered into Safe Mode.

"Hello! Well I do have a problem indeed, I am afraid my laptop just…broke down? He just suddenly stopped working, I have no idea why." she said, putting it on the table between her and the girl.with a hopeful look in her eyes.
"Alright, no problem. Did you run a malware scan of any kind or run a diagnostic? Or was it more like he just wouldn't turn on one day?" Ollie smiled, only half expecting to be met with an affirmative. Most people knew how to run a virus scan, but you could never be too careful. "I can take a look at him real quick, yeah? I haven' got anything else goin' on."

"Hello, lovely. Don't think I've seen you around before. So what's the problem? Computer, phone, tablet?"
M!A Walking Dead
"I think I started to take it a lot more seriously when I noticed more sources reporting the same thing. Though but by that point it was impossible to ignore anyway." Scarlett replied, agreeing. Her thoughts flickering back to the earlier events of the day. It was quite the sight and was like nothing she had ever seen before. Quite horrific as well. Though that would be expected in this type of situation. It seemed that people who panicked more in this situation had the worst result. Not that it took away the horror in what she saw. She admitted this type of thing usually interested her and this did. Yet there was an added chill that she just couldn’t shake.
Scarlett looked over to where Ollie’s gaze was and nodded. “Yeah, it’s something. I mean it’s better than just standing here. Before well, yeah.” She didn’t feel the need to say a loud what they both already knew far too clearly. The thought of becoming that. She gave Ollie a look, and then started to make her way to the building. She slipped her knife out of her pocket; her eyes suddenly more alert. In a normal situation that wouldn’t be needed. But right now it didn’t hurt to be more careful. Thought at the moment she couldn’t see anything and the coast appeared to be clear. She knew this was a good thing; but a part of her doubted it. Since it was most likely they were close. She flashed a look over her shoulder to check if Ollie was okay. She realised that this slowed her down; yet she couldn’t help it.
"Before we turn to zombie chow." Ollie said the words so lightly that it was almost like she was just talking about the weather, shooting the shit with an old friend. No, as it stood they were the only two living things on the block and that never did bode well for survival. It was almost too good to be true that they were making their way over to the building as quickly and quietly as they were. She didn't want to tempt fate and make a sound, though so she motioned for Scarlett to keep going when the other woman turned to check on her. It was a nice gesture, but she'd be better as bait at the moment than Scarlett would. The Holmes was the one with the weapon, and while Ollie was good with her hands, she wasn't that good.
Once they were just near an alley, Ollie stopped, peering down it and spying a door slightly ajar. She whistled lowly, nodding her head that way and motioning for Scarlett to follow. It never hurt to see if there was a better way into somewhere than the front entrance. Those lead to streets which lead to zombies which lead to, well, usually death. She nudged the door with her foot once she was close enough, still ready to bound out of there should something pop out at her.

Almost Awake
Trys closed her eyes, then opened them for what felt like the first time that day. Suddenly she was properly awake, something that always sort of surprised her. She listened as Ollie said her piece, then nodded. “Well, I’d be lying if I said I was surprised I guess. But do you really have to go?” Her voice was wistful. Trystin didn’t want Ollie to go, but she could understand her desire to. Sometimes all she wanted to do was leave and drift wherever the wind took her. Living with her dad, going to the same school every day to see the same people could be rather confining.
"Yeah. I mean, I've been here long enough, y'know? There was that apartment I had for a while that I kept up with on my own, but even with staying with dad, I've got a bit more extra money from work than I thought I'd have. It'd be nice to get out again. I miss the freedom." She grinned, knowing that she and two friends already had a place picked out- and that they were set to move in in a few weeks. She'd even covered her part of the rent already. There wasn't really a chance that she wouldn't go through with this, but she still had to pack and then tell dad. It was a bit last minute, and she didn't doubt that everyone would be at least a little surprised by how quickly it all went down, but at least she knew they'd understand. Trys seemed to be thinking along the same lines, though. It was always a little obvious what she was thinking when they got like this- relaxed and open and easy. "I've got a place picked out with two of my friends already. M'leaving in three weeks." She shrugged it off, grinning at her phone again.
Almost Awake
"Yeah, just gimme a minute," Trys mumbled, dumping a large quantity of sugar into her coffee and remembering the milk seconds later. She picked up the mug and sipped it gingerly. Enjoying the warmth it provided her. Trystin shuffled towards the couch, not really paying attention to her surroundings, just absorbing the smell of the coffee. She plopped herself down, curling around the steaming mug.
Ollie cringed at the amount of sugar and milk her sister poured into her coffee. The thought of it made her shudder- all that sweetness and cream ruining perfectly good coffee. Some was alright but that amount was just- nope. She followed Trys into the living room, though, watching as her sister came to life with the coffee. When she was sure that Trystin was awake enough to understand her, Ollie smiled, checking her phone again.
"So I'm in line for a flat with a friend of mine an' I might be movin' out soon." She said without preamble. It was about time she moved out again. She still had her job and enough saved out to move in with a roommate or two. It was easy to live with her parents, sure, but she couldn't forever. She didn't even know if her mum would let her stay there- she probably would but Ollie liked to deny it- but she knew that her dad didn't mind. She did, though, and she wanted to get back out on her own.
Yo so I'm gonna be updating Ollie over the next however long. Not like making huge changes but updating a bit.
Almost Awake
"Wait what?" Trys asked, rubbing her eyes and still mostly asleep. "I thought it was Sunday, isn’t he off work today?" She was wrong of course, but it was a long weekend and having Friday off had messed up her internal clock. "Coffee, thank you," she muttered, moving on and stumbling towards the pot, eyes half closed. Somehow Trys managed to get a cup off the shelf and fill it with coffee without spilling or burning herself. She took a sip, made a face. Trystin had forgotten the sugar and burned her tongue.
"No, Trys. It's Saturday an' he worked over night last night, remember?" Ollie grinned, looking up from her phone and slipping it into the front pocket of the hoodie she wore. She nudged Trys's ankle with her toes, nodding toward the sugar after she'd already burned herself. "I told you I jus' made it. An' it's hot, you dope." Raising a brow, Ollie rolled her eyes and breezed back into the kitchen, moving easily through the room. She didn't do things in there too often, but at least she knew where everything was. She deposited the sugar in front of her sister, thinking a moment before nodding toward the living room. "Come sit an' watch TV with me until dad gets back? I needed his advice and I might as well tell you while you're up."
Almost Awake
Trys walked down the stairs slowly. She rubbed her eyes and wondered what time it was. She hadn’t slept well and was mostly still asleep when she almost walked into somebody. Trys looked up, blinked sleepily before accepting that she was in fact looking at her sister. “Hello Ollie, what are you doing here?" She moved into the kitchen, hunting for coffee.
Ollie's head shot up, surprise taking her as something solid collided with her in the kitchen doorway. She pulled her ears buds out, blinking widely at her little sister. She hadn't thought she'd be up this early it was only like- Ollie glanced back down at her phone, surprised to find that it was already eight in the morning. Was that too early to be up on a Saturday? Probably.
"I was lookin' for dad. But he's not here." She said instead of a greeting. She blinked at her, watching as Trys woke herself up a little bit. "Made coffee, though. Dad'll be home in an hour or two." Her tone was mostly flippant, eyes still glued to her phone and inspecting it curiously. The scent of coffee wafting from her empty cup on the counter and the mostly full pot filling the kitchen with a comforting air.

He shrugged, he really shouldn’t tell her anything. She seemed nice though. “They’re just not nice. I’m supposed to meet my friend and he’ll take care of me.”
"How old is your friend?" Her eyes narrowed, worry clawing at her again. She heard about too many kids who disappeared with 'friends' only for their bodies to turn up later. She'd learned to be distrusting at a young age just for that reason.
M!A Walking Dead
Scarlett listened, glad that Ollie was okay. “That’s good” She said flashing a grin. Still relieved at bumping into her. The situation at first was so unreal. Now she was just starting to get her head around it all. The thought of that also made her think if there was anything she could do about the situation. But there was always a possibility that any solution would now be pointless. “Yeah, it’s been awful out there. Not that that’s a shocking…. I did think it was some bad joke at first though.” She admitted. Noting mentally that it wouldn’t have been the first time it had happened. Some people really would say anything for attention. It just turned out that this wasn’t one of them. If only she had realised that sooner.
“Yeah, I noticed that too.” She agreed. “Honestly anything I know about keeping myself alive has been some form of help. And well my knife. That helps a bit too.” She said, with a slight shrug. Luckily she hadn’t had to use it much. She hadn’t run into anything for a while either. For some reason she was unsure of what she should make of that.
“I didn’t really have one. Well, originally it was my flat. But then I thought it would be fun to explore.” Scarlett says with a smirk. But it vanishes when she notices Ollie frowning. “Need any help?” She inquired.
“I absolutely thought it was a joke at first, and when it turned out that it wasn’t I owed my brother a fiver and it was the zombie apocalypse.” Ollie tried to keep her tone light, but the fact that it was real made the words much heavier. Everything had gone to Hell so quickly, almost as much literally as it had figuratively, that most words were heavy now. No one could just have a stupid, simple conversation. It was always about staying quiet and out of sight- neither of which they were doing right now. Ollie’s eyes darted around nervously at the realization, still seeing nothing, but you could never be too careful. She shifted on her feet, quieting for a moment- just to listen. It helped, sometimes, to try and listen to her surroundings just to see if something was lurking.
“Right. Yeah, I’d like the help. I- lost my bat.” She repeated, shifting back to look at Scarlett. “Got an idea for a place we can hide out?” Ollie turned her gaze away, looking up instead of just around this time. It’d help to get to higher ground, and a lot of the buildings had fire escapes that made that far simpler than one would realize without proper prompting. Like now. Now was the perfect time to be prompted to find somewhere safe before they were eaten alive by zombies- and then possibly turned, depending on how much of them was really eaten. Ollie cracked a grin at her own inner monologue, shaking her head. She spotted a building off to the left that showed promise and nodded toward it. “How’s tha’ one?” She asked for Scarlett’s opinion before deciding just to run for it.
