Fic: Take a Leap (FutaMoni)

Summary: When Kaname falls over someone’s foot during the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics he’s lucky to be volunteering for, he suddenly thinks he’s less lucky. When the person who caught him turns out to be in his volunteering group, well, now that’s just a joke. Over the time of the Olympics though, maybe his feelings will change… 

Written for the Haikyu Olympics Big Bang! My beta was Drawingasmile, and my artist was Mar, who created a lovely piece! 

He finds himself in the arms of an unfairly handsome man at the Opening Ceremony.

Any other occasion, it might be a funny story, but this is the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games! The first in Japan for years, decades!

And he fell over someone’s foot.

More accurately, someone was stepping back into him so he stumbled back, over some girl’s foot, and on one hand someone else caught him so he didn’t land flat on his back, but on the other hand…

He will never recover from this. Unfairly Handsome Man is smirking at him, still looking unfairly attractive.

“Try and stay on your feet,” he says, and finally tips Kaname back upright, from the dance-like dip that he’d had Kaname in. Kaname, flustered, can do little with his burning face than nod in response and scuttle away as fast as possible.

Why him?!

Opportunity of a lifetime, he’d thought: just finished high school, landed an apprenticeship at a manufacturer near him, and the Olympics are being held in his own country. Not only that, but he actually gets accepted as a volunteer and gets to go to the Opening Ceremony? What could be better?

Until he’d fallen over. Gods, he hopes they didn’t get that on television.

Summary: Kageyama, Kunimi, and Kindaichi have been fencing together since middle school. Their relationship has plenty of flaws, but they are bound together by their love for the sport. Now they will be going to the Olympics together.

Once Olympic training begins, Kageyama sets his sights on their new teammate. While Kageyama is known for his pinpoint precision and technique, Kenma is known for his ability to read his opponents and his catlike reflexes. They’re very different fencers, but they’re the top competitors of the Japanese national team.

An Oikawa/Teru fic

My third and final piece for the Haikyuu Olympics bang!

This one is Oikawa and Terushima as equestrians, and Teru proceeds to get on Oikawa’s nerves until they get their shit together. We have Iwaizumi as a supportive best friends, lots of horses, and a thunderstorm to add in that touch of angst we all need. @olympicsbang
