Looking for Deleted Achievement Hunter Minecraft Crown AU Series
I’m trying to find an older Achievement Hunter (Rooster Teeth RPF) Minecraft royalty AU series that was on AO3. I’m worried it may have been deleted after the Ryan Haywood situation, but I’m hoping someone might recognize it or have a copy saved.
Premise
The world is divided into five kingdoms, each ruled by a magical crown that grants powers to the ruler.
When a ruler dies, the first person who puts on the crown becomes the new ruler.
Crown names / rulers (that I remember)
Plains Crown — Geoff
Desert Crown — Ray
Ryan’s crown — gives redstone powers
Michael’s crown — gives super strength
Wild Crown — controls hostile mobs
The Wild Crown had been circulating among criminals and outcasts in the wilderness.
Ryan hosts a tournament to determine who will claim the fifth crown.
One of the tournament trials is a chess match.
Gavin attends the tournament but does not compete.
Instead he:
steals a something from one of the kings (I think a weapon, possibly a strength potion and Michael's diamond sword?)
leaves the tournament
travels into the wilderness kingdom
The wilderness kingdom is:
forested
monster-filled
inhabited by criminals/outcasts
Gavin finds the Wild Crown at the bottom of a lava ravine and becomes the Wild King.
The first fic ends with Gavin staying in the wilderness after leaving Geoff and Jack.
Before the tournament:
Michael and Ray are politically engaged
They’re unhappy about it, though there are real feelings
Later in the series:
Geoff dies
His body is encased in redstone to preserve it
The others go to the Nether to retrieve his soul
Jack was Geoff’s advisor and takes the Plains Crown after Geoff’s death so nobody else can claim it.
Ryan’s mother is also trying to escape the Nether
Final arc
The final villain is Midas, who can turn things to gold.
Gavin initially allies with Midas
Midas starts turning villages and people into gold
The group has to stop him
In the final battle:
the gold spreads once it touches something
someone’s shoe gets touched and they have to abandon it before it turns them to gold
Ending
Geoff is brought back to life
Jack and Geoff share the same crown powers
Endgame relationship is OT6 (Michael / Ray / Geoff / Jack / Ryan / Gavin)
