I’m sorry but the things Michael Sheen does with his eyes are utterly obscene. Giving Crowley the Gay Once Over? The way he oh-so-slightly turns his body towards him and then turns away? He’s looking at him like a Victorian lady who has just found a handsome and rakish highwayman crawling through her window and she’s nominally protesting just to protect her honour. Aziraphale you fucking tease. I know I’ve said this before but he’s literally eyeing him up like a fucking crepe. This is peak NSFW. I should not be seeing this before the watershed.

The way he says “Oh, good Lord,” as if it’s Crowley who’s done something obscene (which, yes, he is sprawled out in black and scarlet like a late 18th century pinup) but it’s 1000% Aziraphale’s thirsty brain that sees his demon and immediately goes to carnal thoughts. If he was pure of mind he would’ve just been like, ah yes, there he is, but instead he’s flustered and blushing and chiding Crowley in an “oh behave!” sort of way, when really it’s him who needs to get ahold of himself. Crowley’s literally just said how awful humans are and all Aziraphale can think is “oh fuck he looks so hot, I was not prepared, I need a moment but also let me scope that out one more time” 👀

Help me give my students a class set of soprano ukuleles. With these instruments, they will be able to continue their study of music literacy in an engaging and practical way. Our elementary school...

Hi guys! I’m trying to get this project funded for my elementary school music class. 

Basically, I want to buy a class set of ukuleles so that I can continue teaching my students how to read/make music in a meaningful way for them that doesn’t involve recorders. Not only will this help students to make music (which, as their music teacher is one of my primary goals), but ukuleles help to build dexterity and hand eye coordination. They are also very adaptable to be able to be used by students of all shapes and sizes. A class set will be able to be used for years to come and if taken care of properly should last a good long while.

Honestly though, this is very similar to my mom’s experience. She’s always been super bright, but has realized as she’s gotten older that intellectual pursuits just aren’t her jam. She dropped out of her PhD program to have kids, and although she has her master’s and was a pretty good school psychologist, she hated having to make huge decisions. She’s a church secretary now and loves it, and she’s GOOD at it; she’s letting her school psych certification permanently expire this year with zero regrets. If you can be anything you want, that includes the things we don’t tend to value as highly as a society. Not everybody is built for or wants the “respectable” careers.

My grandma did this to me, saying that i didn’t want to get stuck on the outside, making coffee and filing papers. The thing is, that’s exactly what I’ve always enjoyed the most, making and organizing things. That would be enough for me.

Nobody seems to realize that if you tell people they can be anything they want to be they will. And not everyone WANTS to be doctors or lawyers or CEOs or scientists. Sometimes, they just want to be a secretary.

it took me a LOT of therapy before i was able to shrug off the effects of the Gifted Child Upbringing enough to realize that what i really wanted to be was a house husband and Local Queerdad who writes novels sometimes. god, i’m so much happier now.

So today

I moved about 130ish boxes of library books in my school library. Because I am going to be teaching 5 sections of library and zero other library teachers were available today. Apparently.

There is a lot of construction happening in the building right now and this was about the only thing I could do today that was productive without being completely in the way. Except, I was still kind of in the way because there is still work happening in the library (SUPER GREAT THAT THEY MOVED ALL THE BOOKS IN ALREADY THOUGH. GREAT JOB. A+)

The various construction workers moving through the library kept commenting on how much work I had to do with moving all the boxes and how they felt bad that I had to do it alone and am I the librarian?

No, I answered. I’m the music teacher.

And at that point, they all either laugh or get really quiet and shake their heads. “wow. you’re having a really rough week, aren’t you?”
