((While l am frustrated with the direction Jax's arc took [You know, not having to express remorse and yet the narrative refusing to hold her accountable-] I have been a tad exasperated whenever I see people point out "Oh Jax killed her mom bad!"
One, that is left ambiguous whether or not she's actually dead, I personally doubt that pishing her down killed her.
Two, even if she did kill her... You mean the transphobic abusive piece of shit that projected her relationship issues onto her child and uses affection as a tool for manipulation? Lmao fuck that. Actually, push her again as a treat, Jax.
Like, guys, if you wanna be mad at Jax, there's plenty of reasons. Who cares that she hurt her abuser in reaction to the abuse? Come on now.))
((Hi
Bye-))
((Guys, please kick my ass into doing my drafts, I need it-))
((tbh my main beef with TADC is like. Its issues with accountability.
Like, Jax is the biggest offender of that I feel like. But she's far from the only one.
Like Gangle is made to feel bad for having one bad manic episode, and Ragatha is made to feel bad for just barely lashing out and stupid shit she said when she wasn't sober. Meanwhile Jax gets to be defended for all of her bad behavior and abuse because she's repressed and traumatized, and gets to be mourned and catered to.
Not only that, but Kinger faced no consequences for not only being part of the reason they're trapped in the Circus and failing Caine every step of the way [like granted he's not always mentally present but still-], but also keeping this shit from everyone. And essentially leaving Ragatha to keep it together on her own. I feel like there should at least be some sprained trust from the others, aside from maybe Pomni.
Like the only one that faces any accountability is Caine, and even then, I feel like both parties transitioned into "happy ending" mode way too quickly. Like, I will never defend Caine for all the shit he did in episodes 7 and 8, like he dangled hope over their heads and then abused his power to torture everyone for being mad about it. But again, Kinger kinda let him down, not reaching out to him even despite seeing him as a person. And I think overall they all should have made promises to communicate better. Literally Pomni had a convo with Gummigoo, and it never occurred to her that Caine, his creator, might have similar feelings? And then there's just the others feeling too quick to trust him despite what both the Moon and Zooble said about how forgiveness and trust will take time to earn, like-
And I feel like this could be fixed if Goose wasn't so opposed to "filler" episodes. Like, the pacing is ultimately what kills the show. It introduces so much, only to have to be either rushed through or completely unacknowledged for the sake of time. We don't even get Ragatha and Pomni's talk on screen and that drives me insane-
Idk if this makes any sense, and this is not my full thoughts about the finale, just felt the need to barf that out there-))
((So uh.
Wow, I just learned something that made this even more true.
I'm tired and I'm half tempted to write one of those "Jax is saved!" fics but where she has to actually face some real consequence.))
((... So hear me out, a TADC and Deltarune crossover where the C&A office building becomes a Dark World-))
((Also, saw a short that said they were mad at Pomni because *checks notes* She didn't smile at him like she did the others, only regarded him curiously. And implied that Jax's Abstraction was her fault like.
Fucking excuse me?
Oh right, her essentially being the vehicle for Jax's development wasn't enough, she was supposed to instinctively know that the person that's been pushing her away since the end of episode 6 needed her help and chase her down. Fuck you for respecting her boundaries and not playing the guessing game, Pomni, don't you know it's your job as a woman to fix assholes that refuses to communicate???
Fuck off lmao-))
(("Ribbit was Ragatha's first abstraction"
Wrong! There were four others before her! Glitch and Goose just forgor.))
((*puts the Blue AI in a jar and shakes it* WHAT IS YOUR DEAL I NEED TO KNOW-))
((Reviving an old Ragatha headcanon back from episode 2, yes she lives in my head rent free, don't at me-
Anyways, anytime any of those that Abstracted during her time cross her mind, she writes a letter. Then, when she's sure no one is watching, she slides the letter under their door.))
