A lot of you only like dark skinned girls when they are drop dead gorgeous like we’re not allowed to be average. If we’re average, we’re ugly. We need to have long hair, be thick, have european features to be pretty. Celebrate us all or don’t celebrate us at all

Let’s stop messin’ around and be clear....because we, as African descendants were traded as a commodity.  Wait, let me clarify this a little more.  If you follow any historic trade route after the Dynastic Period in Africa, you will find slaves traded as a common good.  In all four corners of the earth you will find evidence of our (African) presence, at one point.  Moreover, because we were violated in addition to being condemned to slavery.  Our DNA has been well mixed with the other indigenous merchants’ along the trade route.  This should begin to explain why we have such a variety of physical features, aside from adaptation to our habitat.  That being said...we are all beautiful.  Our queens are beautiful, both inside and out.  No matter the shade of Her skin.  No matter the texture of Her hair, underneath Her crown.  No matter the shape and size of Her physique.  No matter the color of Her eyes.  Of course...everyone has their own preferences, and that’s fine.  The wrong thing to do is discount or marginalize any Woman that differs from your physical likings.  Without a woman, none of us would be here.  Thank, God.

....there was a time, that I didn’t care about any of the above.  I hated myself, severely...and it showed.  I almost ended it all.  Thank God, I didn’t.  I’m in a much better place, now.  Thank God for my Queen and Prince.
