Cindy Strickland fc: lily collins species: human age: 17

Cindy doesn’t remember her life before Barren Creek. She knows she was born in New York and her parents both died when she was only 3. But she doesn’t remember any of it. All she knows is a couple of vampires happened upon the car crash that killed her parents and found her crying in the back seat. They took her from the wreck with the intention of finding her a good home but Cindy is just too easy to love. They found themselves attached and unable to give her up. So they kept her and raised her as best as two vampires possibly could. She was 14 when they sat her down and told her what they were. They had always believed in being open and honest with her and now that she was old enough to understand they didn’t want to keep this from her any longer. They assured her that they never drank human blood instead choosing to live off blood bags which they bought from a contact at the hospital. Neither of them had ever had a drop of blood from a human after they were turned.

At first she thought it was some kind of joke until they showed her what they were. It was a shock and it took some getting used to. But the more she thought about it the more she became okay with it. They weren’t any different then they had been before and for 14 years they had never once compelled her or fed off her. So why should her feelings for them change. If anything she loved them more. They fought their nature just to take care of her and that took a lot of strength.

Alexis was born into a normal middle class family. They were nothing special but Alexis knew from the time she was little that she was meant to be more then what her family could offer her. She dreamed of being something special being more then just some girl stuck in a dead end town. Her parents tried to give her everything they could. She grew spoiled and bratty. She learned to manipulate people into getting what she wants. She doesn’t like hearing the word no and when she does she makes you regret it. If it wasn’t for the fact that people believed her to be heartless and incapable of any feeling even close to love she might be mistaken for a siren or possibly a succubus. She does seem to enjoy living off the misery of other people. But Alexis is 100% human and completely unaware of the existence of the supernatural world.

When Alexis hit high school it got even worse. She joined the cheerleading squad and was class president. She literally had everyone worshiping her and loved every moment of it. They always tell you that high school is the best times of your life but for Alexis that wasn’t true.Life after high school only got better for Alexis. She’s never worked a day in her life but because of her good looks she’s managed to make a name for herself on the internet. Now she finds herself lavished with expensive gifts from strangers on an almost constant basis. Not that she minds. She’s as selfish as she is heartless. Sure she has friends but if it came down to it she would lose them in a heartbeat. She’s still searching for something to make her life better. She’s never satisfied with what she has.

Brittany is the first witch born into her family line. She was born in farmtown usa. Literally. The town of Farmtown, Nebraska was her home for most of her life. It’s probably the only town in the world smaller then Barren Creek. It was entirely made up of one stop and shop and three farms. She had to take a bus for an hour into the next town just to get to school everyday. It was only natural that Earth would turn out to be her element. Her mother always told her she had a green thumb and their crops were always green even when the other farms didn’t. It wasn’t until she was 16 that her parents started suspect there was something different about her. Something unnatural. There was a drought that took out the farms in the area but their farm was green and full like it always was. Her parents destroyed the crops to keep her secret and sent her away. They received a pamphlet in the mail about a school for people with special skills and they decided to send her there where she could be around people who could help more then they could.

When Brittany arrived in Barren Creek it wasn’t at all like how she imagined it. The place was full of life and it would be easy to hide her gifts in a place that looked like she had always been there. She started at the Bryant Boarding School for higher learning and she loved it. In addition to the normal school stuff they taught her all about being a witch and the things she could do with her powers. They taught her about the dangers and and how to control it so that it would over whelm her. She soaked up everything she could and after graduating she stayed on to be a teacher herself. She’s embraced who she is and loves being able to help shape young witches like her teachers did with her. She liked knowing she wasn’t a freak like she feared and that there were others just like her.

Candace Rios FC: Danielle Campbell Species: Water Nymph Age: 16

Candace was born in Barren Creek and she can’t imagine life anywhere else. She’s never met her father and she doesn’t care if she ever does. She doesn’t spend a whole lot of time thinking about him. She knows the town talks about her mother. They whisper behind her back about the circumstances of her birth. Some people would swear she was kidnapped and others think she just popped out of the water itself. Her mom is thought of as the town crazy. She’s always too happy and no one has ever seen her with any man. Her mom spends all her time in the gardens and the town just worries that she could pass on her crazy to her innocent daughter.

Candace is a pretty happy kid. She always sees the best in everything and everyone. She loves the water and is on the swim team at school. Her coach jokes that if they’d let her she’d live in the water. She knows the town makes fun of her mother but she also knows it’s only because they don’t understand her. Her mother is a garden Nymph and as crazy as Candace is for the water her mother is for her garden. The whole towns gardens actually. Sometimes she wishes she could just tell everyone what they are so that maybe they could understand but she knows she can’t. So she swims that much harder and tries to ignore all the negativity of peoples ignorance.

When Clifford was young he used to dream about what it would be like to have magic. It was fantasy he created from watching too many movies but he never seemed to be able to let go of it. His parents had no idea that the supernatural world was real. His mother never talked about about her side of the family except that they dated back to the Salem witch trials and were one of the families accused of magic. But she always laughed the story off because magic wasn’t real so of course they survived. It was just a bunch of paranoia and lies being covered up some a horror story. So Clifford went on his life thinking he was normal until suddenly he wasn’t.

He was 14 when the Vampires came. They were like the monsters from all the movies he used to like watching. He thight it was all a nightmare but he knew he was awake. He watched as the monsters killed his parents and he was frozen where he stood. There was nothing he could do to stop them. When they turned to him he knew he was dead. There was nothing he could do to stop them from killing him. But suddenly they were on fire and and instead of thinking about how he just ran. He ran until the Bryants found him and sent him to their boarding school. Turns out he was a witch and he had a connection with the element of fire. He was a late bloomer for a witch but he was powerful. Everyone worried that his hatred for the Vampires would consume him and lead him into the darkness but all he wanted was to wipe them all out.

Colin Moreno FC: Paul Wesley Species: Werewolf Age: 21

Growing up Colin lived in his older brothers shadow. He doesn’t remember much about their dad except what Evan tells him. It’s the only time he ever sees his brother smile. He’s jealous that Evan got to spend so much time with the man that had been turned into some sort of saint in their family. With Evans problems Colin was left to help his mom around the house and with his little brother. He stayed out of trouble and tried to be the opposite of his anything his brother was. He joined the football team when his temper kicked in to help take the edge off. He knew his dad had gotten Evan into it and it proved more successful with Colin. He struggled with the idea of not having a dad around but did everything he could to make him proud.

After Evan forced his change Colin was terrified of becoming a wolf. He just wanted to be normal. He didn’t want to be his brother and he didn’t want to be a part of the pack. Evan tried to help him but Colin refused to listen to anything he had to say. It only made him angrier when he brought their father into it. When he turned sixteen and went through the change for the first time he experienced more pain then he could ever have imagined. Colin wasn’t proud of what he was. He fought against it every second of the day. When he turned twenty-one he learned that drinking would help to dull the pain and take the edge off. If he drank enough it would keep the wolf at bay for a little while. He doesn’t change with the pack instead preferring to change on his own or on occasion with Sam. After High School he was offered a football scholarship but had to turn it down because of what he was. That only served to make him hate his wolf more.

Darryl has always been a bit of an underachiever. His older brother was the poster child for their family and he just gave up living in his brothers shadow. His parents loved him but they never expected much out of him. It hurt his pride and self confidence that his parents didn’t even try to get him to do better for himself. He spent his life holed up in his room fiddling with computers and anything involving technology. He was good and it got him noticed. After he hacked into a secure government website the police came knocking. They offered him a second chance. They paid for him to go to school in exchange for him joining the force after graduation. He dropped out after his freshman year because he didn’t like the idea of having someone controlling his talents. He wouldn’t become his brother. He didn’t tell his parents he left school and moved to Barren Creek where he figured no one would come looking for him.

While Darryl may be good when it comes to computers and anything technology related when it comes to the real world and people he’s oblivious. He has no idea that hes surrounded by Supernatural creatures. Some of his friends are hiding this big secret from him and he has no idea. With the arrival of this mysterious stranger in town Darryl has begun to let his curiosity get the better of him and started poking around where he shouldn’t.

Deacon was born and raised in Barren Creek. He married his High School sweetheart like in every small town cliche. He was naive to the other side of the town he called home. That was until his girlfriend Luna turned 16. She pulled away from him and started to disappear more often. She was angry and more volatile. He knew something was wrong so he followed her one night and watched as she turned into a wolf. He saw her in pain and instead of running from what he saw he moved closer. He held her through the change until he was left holding a wolf. Even then he stayed. He spent the night running through the woods with her wolf and they fell asleep under the stars. It was then that he knew he loved her no matter what she was and he always would.

By the time they graduated High School Luna was pregnant with their first son. Shortly after Evans birth they were married. The pack finally accepted him as one of their own. Evan was his entire world. They moved into a house he built by the woods where he first learned her secret. Seven years later Colin was born and Deacon was more then happy to keep staying at home with the boys. He loved being a dad more then anything. When Colin was 3 Luna became pregnant for the third time. At the same time things started to change for Deacon. Luna became the head of her pack but instead of being happy and celebrating with her like he wanted he found himself growing angrier. All of his sense became heightened and he avoided near his wife and the pack as much as possible. A phone call from his mother answered all of his questions. He hadn’t spoken to his mother since before Evan was born. Apparently his grandfather had recently died and passed on the Hunter gene to him. There was no stopping it or fighting it. His only option was to leave. He waited until his wife and kids were asleep before leaving and never intending on coming back.

He spent 16 years trying to put as much distance between him and his family as he could. He searched the world twice over for some way to keep his ability in check or to even rid himself of it. Until his search leads him back to the one place he swore he would never go again. Home to the wife and kids he left behind and the son he never had a chance to meet.

Derek is a bit of a free spirit. His parents were both wind element witches which made them kind of air heads who never really knew how to parent. Derek turned out to be the opposite and formed a connection with the Earth. He’s got a collection of rocks that he’s conjured from all over the world. Some of them are worth thousands of dollars but selling them has never crossed his mind. He’s got a morbid sense of looking at his gift. He’s the beauty in all of it, including death. He feels like when he draws energy from the earth he’s connected to all the dead buried in it. That he’s connected to the entire universe. He thinks its kind of spiritual how life can grow where dead things lie. That life and death can exist in the same space at the same time. He likes being able to manipulate the concept of death and turn it into something beautiful. In a town where death is no stranger the people don’t seem to mind his slight weirdness.

He teaches philosophy at the local community college and sometimes a class or to at the Bryant School. More often then not he can be found at the old mill that he’s turned into his laboratory. He’s always doing some sort of experiment and testing the lengths of his powers. He’s never been satisfied with the limits of his powers. He’s aware of the dangers of pushing his limits too far but he also knows that it’s not the power that consumes him it’s his search for knowledge. It’s his desire to find the connection between life and death and give the world the peace of mind they’ve been searching for.

Devin was born into a pure blood line of witches that could be traced back to the time of Salem. His entire blood line was made up of water element witches. It was how his family had managed to survive through the witch trials and they took pride in their power. Most witches connected with their natural element early on in life. His siblings all had been early bloomers. They were able to manipulate water before they could walk. It often left Devin on the receiving end of their so called lessons. He was the youngest of all his siblings and even at the age of 18 he still has no idea what his element is. His family sent him away to the Bryant school in hopes that they would be able to help him figure out what his element is. Even if it didn’t turn out to be water.

Devin thought going to school with a bunch of witches would help him. That he would belong and finally be able to find out what he was. But even at a school full of people like him he was alone. He was the only witch who hadn’t yet figured out what their element was. It wasn’t even like he could claim to be one of those rare people who had a connection to more then one element. He was just average at all of them. He took in every bit of information he could in the hopes that somewhere in all these books he could find a spell or a way to force an element onto himself. But he was out of luck in that area as well. He even went to work with Mr. Weaver in the hopes that one of his experiments would give him the answers he needed.

Growing up Elias was just a normal kid. He had no idea what lay in his future. There was no way he could have. He had normal parents, got decent grades, and played football. Which was the most exciting thing there was to do in this town. He had no way to prepare himself for what was to come on his 18th birthday because it wasn’t something that happened a lot even in the history of the supernatural world. But on the morning of his 18th birthday he oke up with a pounding headache. He took some pain meds but nothing was able to help him. He kept getting flashes of events like scenes from a movie but all out fo order. Eventually it got so bad he black out and didn’t wake up until the next morning. But when he did wake up the headache was still there but manageable. He thought it was all over until his visions started to come true.

He spent the summer after graduating high school trying to sort out what was happening to him. He went searching for answers to what he was and why this was happening to him. He ended up in the jungles of Africa where he learned he was a Seer. They taught him how to embrace his power and opened him up to the world that had previously been closed off to him. They showed him how to access and block his powers as best as anyone knew and gave him some remedies that would help with the headaches. He went home to Barren Creek and he tries to pretend he was normal but he saw the truth now. He knew the danger that was out there and everything that was coming and he wasn’t sure he was going to be able to prevent it.

Ella Meyer fc: candice swanepeol species: mermaid age: 24

Ella was born on a broken down ship lost at sea. Her parents had decided to spend a year sailing the world. When her mother found out she was pregnant her father wanted them to head home but her mother refused. So Ella was born in the middle of the Ocean, on a boat in the middle of a storm. After she was born her parents cut the trip short in order to get her the proper medical care. She was a strong and healthy baby but she always had a fear of the Ocean. Her parents thought it was strange given her birth. She was 18 and on spring break in Mexico with her friends when she learned the truth of what she was. She let her friends convince her to go into the Ocean and the second the salt water hit her skin she began to transform. She was only in her mermaid form for an hour but that was enough. As soon as she changed she became a different person. Jealous and violent. She drowned all of her friends before she knew hat was happening. Commotion from the beach brought her out of her haze and she escaped the water and dried off, returning to her human form before anyone noticed. The police ruled her friends deaths an accident and no one ever found out about her involvement. She’s never gone back to the ocean since that day afraid of becoming that creature again.

She went home and packed her things determined to get as far away from the her past as she could. She changed her name and found herself in Barren Creek, Colorado. She wasn’t sure what drew her there but she made a home for herself there. She left her past behind and spent her life since trying to forget what she was. She can feel the pull of the Ocean but she refuses to answer the call. She spent years researching and learning about what she was so that she could fight it. She wishes the truth of what she was was more like in the movies. Eventually she moved on with her life and decided to embrace the good parts of being a Mermaid. The extended youth, good looks, and charming personality. Everyone that knows her loves her. She’s become the unofficial welcoming committee to Barren Falls. Not that they get very many tourists or any at all.

Evan Moreno fc: jamie dornan species: werewolf age: 28

Growing up Evan idolized his father. He thought he was strong and brave and Evan hardly left his side. He had a bit of a temper as a boy and hated to stay still for too long. His dad got him involved in football and it calmed him a little. He liked listening to his dad tel him stories about what it would be like when he turned into a wolf. He was impatient and didn’t want to wait until he turned 16 to meet his wolf. But his dad told him that he needed to be patient so he could connect with his wolf more. The wolf would let him know when it was ready. Sometimes his dad would take him out on a full moon and watch as the rest of the pack changed. The screams sometimes scared him and his dad would hold him and remind him that it only hurt if you fought the wolf. One night a month the wolf needed to stretch its legs and if you fought it then it would fight back. Evan was sure that he would never have that problem and that he and his wolf would be best friends.

When he was 7 and his parents told him he was going to be a big brother it took him awhile to come around to the idea. He didn’t want to share his dad with anyone else. But his dad sat him down and told him that it was okay to share and he wouldn’t love him any less. He promised that he could help him take care of him and Evan took the opportunity to learn from his dad. He was going to make him proud and be the best big brother ever. When Colin was born he looked after him just like his dad taught him and he took pride in his new status. He told him all of the stories their dad told him when he was young even though he knew Colin wouldn’t understand. He even made him a wooden wolf toy to play with. When his mom got pregnant again he was prepared for it this time. He thought he was a pro at the big brother routine and even boxed up some toys he was too old for to pass on to the new baby.

Then one day his dad was gone. He blamed his mother even thought he knew it wasn’t really her fault. She was just as upset as he was but that didn’t stop him from being angry at her. He found himself getting angrier by the day. He started getting in trouble at school and fighting other boys in the pack. He was kicked off the football team and became the only person in the history of the pack to ever manage to trigger their transition early. At the age of 13 he changed into a wolf for the first time and just like he expected he felt no pain at all. The elders believe that over the years he had connected with his wolf on a level no one else had ever managed to. His wolf could sense his anger and forced itself out as a way to protect him. As he got older the connection between him and his wolf only grew and he’s never told anyone but he’s discovered that he can change even when the moon isn’t full. The only things Evan cares about anymore are his brothers and searching for his father. He never believed his mothers story about his death. While they may not have the best relationship he’s kept his search a secret from her.

Evelyn is Luna’s cousin on her mother’s side. She moved to Barren Creek after Deacon left to help out with the boys. Even if she didn’t know how much help she could be when she was around the same age as the boys. Her parents were traditional wolves and they brought her up to follow their ways. She was raised off the land and they lived in the woods in a hut more than a house. Her family kept her cut off from the modern world completely. They believed in communing with their ancestors and thought it would help with the transition. They believed in mind over matter. She was only 14 when she was sent to live in Barren Creek. To her it was like a whole different planet. She knew her parents had hoped she would stick to her teachings and maybe impart some of them onto the pack but instead she found herself falling victim to all the things the modern world had to offer.

Evelyn enjoyed her freedom in Barren Creek. She went to a real school and had friends outside of the pack. She envies her cousins case of transformation. Even if it has gotten harder since her husband left. She has always been a wild child and had a care free spirit. She likes to make her own may and works for everything she has. She’s not afraid to take risks and face danger head on. When her parents come to visit she knows they’re disappointed but she’s happy with who she is. Maybe she’s not one with her wolf like her parents wanted her to be but shes accepted it.

Franklin was born into a wealthy family. The only family in Barren Creek that has more net worth then them is the Bryants. The two families have always had a friendly competition. Though the Becks think that the Bryants are a little bit strange. The Becks ended up in Barren Creek on accident. They had just moved to America from England and gotten some wrong directions. They ended up in Barren Creek and his mother insisted that they make it their home. She didn’t believe in accidents. He was five years old at the time and more curious then he should have been. His parents had never been very good at being parents. He was left on his own a lot of the time and it got him into more trouble then he would ever admit. One day he was wandering around and he found himself at the Bryant school. That day he learned that there was more to Barren Creek then everyone thought.

For 20 years Franklin has kept what he knows a secret. As he got older his parents started to expect more from him and he had a responsibility to live up to the family name. He had an attitude one could only achieve by being born with money. He was arrogant and cocky but at the same time he was a good person. He was angry and rebellious due to feeling neglected by his parents. He couldn’t help but want to know more about the town he called home. Finding out about the witches was just the start and he was determined to unearth all the towns buried secrets. He had a way of looking down on people without meaning too but everyone usually let it slide by because they knew he didn’t actually mean any of it. They accepted that he was just a bit of a dick sometimes.

Gabriel Guzman fc: jensen ackles species: angel age: 32

Gabriel was one of the few angels who never picked a side in the war between his brothers. He never had much of an interest in the humans. So when the angels all came to Earth Gabriel went his separate way from his brothers. Over the years they have taken turns trying to get him to join their side but he has always refused. He tried hiding but they have a way of finding him anyway. He eventually stopped using his angelic powers and tried blending in with the humans in the hope of avoiding detection. He spent years blending in and he hated every second of it. It was an Arch Angel and the idea of being forced to pretend he was less by his own kind angered him. So instead he stopped hiding and built a weapon capable of killing his brother should they force it to come to that. He hated the idea of killing his brothers but he cared about himself above all things.

Gabriel chose Barren Creek as his home because he knew of the legends. The power that dwelled there and the only living being that could possibly provide him with some amusement during his extensive existence. He turned the town into a beacon for supernatural creatures seeking refuge. He enjoys toying with them and watching as they try to live their lives and keep their secrets. As they fight against what they are. Never knowing who and what he is and that he has the power to make all of it easier. He has all the answers they seek and they have no idea. When you live forever life becomes a game and everyone else are just toys to be played with. He’s cocky, arrogant, and selfish. He doesn’t care about anyone but himself.
