The Fruits After the Storm

A comic about the theory of Dragon being the one to have given birth to Luffy

This honestly would've been better as a fanfic but i couldn't grasp it as a fanfic format properly 😭

Dragon getting a hug from Iva and not realizing that he’s tearing up from it until they ask if he’s okay.

And then he realizes that no, he’s not okay.

It's in a moment of triumph. One of their first islands successfully overthrown as the people cheer in relief and gratitude. Of course Iva's hee-hawing to their heart's content and yeah they got a little too caught up in the moment and forgot Dragon's not really the touchy feely type.

They're snapped out of it by what they think are droplets of rain falling onto their arms, but there's not a cloud in the sky.

It's true that the Freedom Fighters did just accomplish a monumental milestone, but Dragon's gaze is distant and haunted. There's something deeper going on here. Something Iva knows will take more time than today allows to unpack.

But when they go to pull away, a hand clasps desperately to their arm.

"Please don't let go..." a voice so small and broken Iva never would have believed it was Dragon's unless they saw he was the one speaking.

The celebration can wait a little longer.

I like to think that Darling the evil horse “tolerates” Dragon because he’s the only living creature to approach her that she hasn’t managed to trample to death. Yet.

They both tolerate eachother other because they want to see who's gonna give up first and yes dragon would beef with a horse.
