I read this article explaining the yautjan language made for Badlands, and it detailed how the yautja referred to each other with various forms of "you", depending on the relationship. "Wul", if they are talking to someone they look down upon or are disrespecting, "dau" if they respect the other person, and "kai" if they are close friends. And after that I noticed that Dek starts out referring to Thia with wul. Then, when they reach the Kalisk's den, it is dau, and after her betrayal, its back to wul until the end of the movie, where it's dau again. But he doesn't refer to her with kai... YET. So I had to draw the moment that changes.

Creating my Patreon page has been one of the hardest things Iโve done in the past few months. Not because I lacked ideas. Not because I wasnโt trying. On the contrary โ Iโd been thinking about it for a long time. I tried. I kept telling myself, โIโll do it tomorrow.โ And then tomorrow again. And again. Yet every single time I pulled my hand back, as if stepping forward meant crossing some terrifying emotional line.
There was emotional pain involved. Real pain โ the kind that tightens your throat and steals your courage. For a long time I couldnโt understand why something that brings me joy โ drawing โ could hurt so much when I try to take a step forward with it.
Then one day I was at work. A job I donโt like. A job I go to only because I โhave to.โ And suddenly I felt that same pain. That same pressure inside. And then something important hit me: if it hurts to do what I love, and it hurts to do what I hateโฆ then why do I keep choosing the kind of pain that gives me nothing? Why is it so easy to sacrifice myself for things that drain me, and so hard to fight for the things that could actually heal me?
That was the moment I made a decision.
The pain will be there anyway. The fear will be there anyway. They wonโt disappear just because I wait long enough. But I can choose a path that has meaning despite the fear โ a path that is mine.
Thatโs why I created a Patreon.
Iโm not expecting crowds, numbers, or spectacular success. I just want to try. I want to give myself a chance. I want to create โ even if Iโm afraid.

I drew Amelia and Razhe again from one of my favorite fanfics by Predator Pew Pew.
Her story is incredibly immersive and I love drawing characters from her universe. In the second artwork I also drew Mas'hic, who comes from her fanfic. This young yautja has just had his Chive.
