My visit to Garner State Park was great this time of the year. I camped out for 2 nights and was also able to hike several trails. Follow me on FB and Instagram @OneSoloHiker

Visit White Sands National Park during the sunset hours. It's amazing. Go.
This picture won't do this view justice. I'm on a balcony of the David Hotel close to the Dead Sea in the Judean Desert. Made it right on time to the hotel to experience this amazing sunset.
Loved my trip to Israel. Our group got to visit several sites all throughout the entire country. From the Dead Sea to the Old City itself - Jerusalem! It was 14 days of intense travel. So much to learn and experience! I can't wait for my next overseas trip.
For three nights, we were able to stay at the Nof Ginosaur Kibbutz Hotel... which has a private beach on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. By the way, the Sea of Galilee is not actually a sea but a freshwater lake - the lowest freshwater lake in the entire world!
Beautiful and relaxing area with exceptional hotel service.
St George Orthodox Monastery
This monastery is located in the canyon of Deir El Qilt near the city of Jerico in Israel. I'm glad we stopped to check this out. Because of how cold and windy it was...we didn't stay long but it was a pleasant surprise.
Dome on the Rock is one of the most sacred places I've walked in. Yes, the dome is made out o gold. No, we weren't allowed inside.
When I heard Houston’s Museum of Natural Science had a Pompeii Exhibit, I decided to go. Pompeii, a city in ancient Rome, suffered a catastrophic end when Mount Vesuvius erupted. Not only was the city of Pompeii buried underneath the ashes for hundreds of years but some inhabitants as well.
Pike’s Public Market in Seattle. Most of the time its overcrowded with tourists. But, good deals to be had there. Powell’s Restaurant was a good place to eat.
Mount Rainier. I wasn’t planning on hiking the mountain but it called and I answered. I hiked the Skyway Trail. It was amazing. Wished I could have shared that hike with others but it wasn’t meant to be. It was a solo hike.
One of the most beautiful locations in Portland’s Columbia River Gorge. Grateful, the lord allowed me the opportunity to witness this beautiful waterfall.
Quinta Mazatlan is an adobe mansion constructed in 1935 and located in McAllen Texas.
Machu Picchu is definitely one of the highlights of my travel life. It was a dream that turned into reality. The only regret I have is not being able to experience the hike along the Inka Trail to Machu Picchu.
Urumamba Mountain Range in Peru.
Antelope Slot Canyon. If you haven’t been here, you really need to find a way to visit.
This is Monument Valley along the Utah and Arizona border. Everyone must experience this rugged terrain. Neither words or images capture the mystic beauty of this area. I must go back and stay there overnight.
Kayaking Antelope Canyon. It was a beautiful day. Enjoyed every bit of it.
