hi tumblr. this is my bedroom and the door to the front porch of the house i now live in. it is lovely. this is the cool dog i live with now, his name is stevie and he’s almost friends with annie, who also lives with me here. there is also a cat who truly has no name (only nicknames). there is a bunny and a snake that live in my housemates room above my feet. this is me doing a head stand on april 19th, 2016.

i’m in a really bad position financially right now and need some help. my house is currently unlivable and my property manager stopped by unannounced to demand rent a day early and tell us that he is not going to supply our house with air conditioning, which in florida is a death sentence and will absolutely cause black mold to form along with exacerbating my autoimmune symptoms if i stay in this type of environment. in addition to that, the floors are caving in, we have a rodent issue, all of our sinks are broken, along with a bunch of other things including the property manager stopping by unannounced. because of this, my roommate and i are going to break our lease. 

this would require two months’ extra rent as per our lease terms (which amounts to $650 each). i absolutely cannot afford that right now. i pay $60-$100 a month on medication, $60 for car insurance, $60 for doctor visits, $100 for utilities, and i just had to pay the state hundreds of dollars after legal issues that i needed to sort out.

even if you could just help me with the cost of breaking my lease, that would help me immensely.

I have a physical/neurological disability that makes me extremely vulnerable, as I can’t be upright without serious physical harm. I also don’t have the ability to work so I have very low income. (medical evidence, income evidence)

Recently I was referred to a mental health team without my consent. My concern is that they may force me into hospital against my will and force me to undergo treatments that are extremely detrimental to my physical condition, like other public mental health staff have attempted to do in the past.

The mental health team has been monitoring my medical appointments to assess my existing medical support. If I don’t attend the appointments at the times that they demand me to, they will have grounds to become more controlling towards me and it would put me at greater risk of harm.

I have an upcoming appointment with my neurologist on Thursday 17th March. The mental health team knows about this appointment so I need to be present there. The cost of the appointment is $250 with a $112.30 Medicare rebate to be reimbursed the day afterwards.

I’m unable to leave my room without being transferred on a spine board or two bar stretcher, and I need to lie on a stretcher cot while travelling in the car. The only paramedic company that is currently able to transport me (see this link for further details) will almost certainly prevent me from accessing transport unless I pay off the majority or all of  the thousands of dollars in outstanding paramedic invoices. 

Any donations to assist with these outstanding invoices would be crucial in ensuring my safety from the coercive measures of the mental health team and from potential institutionalisation.

On February 27, a courageous group of anti-fascists gathered to counter protest the KKK rally in Anaheim, CA. When the pigs came, they ended up targeting and arresting the counter protesters, many of them Black and Brown people, and not the racists who instigated the confrontation/violence in the first place. Not surprising.

The anti-fascist comrades who got arrested are in urgent need of some real solidarity! That’s why we need to raise BIG MONEY for them. Your donations will go towards any medical or legal costs associated with their injuries and arrests from that day.

Copwatch Santa Ana and the Los Angeles Anarchist Black Cross will work together with other local anti-fascist/anti-racist groups to divide the money appropriately to the arrestees.

All donations, however big or small, are greatly appreciated.
