First of all, great work with Summer in Ponyville, I really like it. Now I was wondering, what's the deal with The Sweetie Chronicles? Are you working on those, is that series abandoned, or anything?

*sigh* The Sweetie Chronicles is still a thing, its just we've run into a few snags that have delayed progress, but rest assured we are still working to bring it out as soon as realistically possible

I can attest to this.To both things really, that the human race, is and isn’t, like this all at once. Because we are human, and one of the things in the nature of humanity is being an unknown quantity, being unpredictable and rash. But while I can say that a great many lonely people may not be kind, some sad people may not find reason to smile, and some who are disturbed may turn to darkness, I can also say this: To know loneliness, is to truly appreciate companionship, to know sadness, is to long for and revel in any joy, and to be wise there is always a cost for knowledge. 

I think that this is one of the reasons the MLP fandom is so kind. Sure, we have our spats and disagreements, but at its core, a lot of what we are is bucking expectation, with or without intention. That is a draw for people, especially the lonely, the sad, or those wise enough not to care what’s expected of them. This is true across a lot of fandoms, and collections of people throughout the world, and it remains true here. The kind of people who feel this way find each other, and in that, sometimes discover that they don’t have to be sad, or lonely, they only have to find those people worth finding to chase away those feelings, and in that they become wise.

Brad (Chysonallite): The group goes to Manehatten to meet Punchline's father. There, Windgale goes psychotic, convinces more pegasi to join her, and they start terrorizing the group by writing stuff with clouds and stealing Ol' Martha.

Brad (Chysonallite): Holy hell, I might just do that.

Yes, the Bechdel Test. It’s named for Alison Bechdel, who is a comic book creator. The test is, are there two named women in the film? Do they talk to each other? And is it about something other than a man? I actually think the Bechdel Test is a little advanced for us sometimes. I have one called the Sexy Lamp Test, which is, if you can remove a female character from your plot and replace her with a sexy lamp and your story still works, you’re a hack.

Comic book writer Kelly Sue DeConnick (Captain Marvel, Avengers Assemble) Yay!  Windgale passes the Sexy Lamp Test!  There’s isn’t a second female character yet, though.  Not for lack of trying though, mind you. (via chysonallite)
