That Battlefield song comes to mind when I am trying to get things done in ivf. I am always finding road blocks and doctors unwilling to help me. They expect you to follow them blindly no matter what the financial cost. I will have to go private in a country that sponsors ivf in order to not loose the time I have with my ticking biological clock.
Six years of struggling with infertility issues. People think making babies is simple. I thought it was a basic right given by nature. Why else would we be here? Our dreams are ours to make and pursue but Nature designed us to want kids. It’s a biological need. So why is it so hard to have kids? Perhaps we overstayed our welcome. Destroying and polluting Nature to a point where there may not be a return. Perhaps She wants to get rid of us.
Double Standards
Equality. Feminism. We fought for the rights but they lost their meaning lately. We are different but equal. The goal was to have the same opportunity as men, and that both men and women are judged equally and that neither should be judged no matter what they choose to do. If the husband or wife decides to stay at home and take care of the kids, then that should be respected. .
Trophy Wives?
Did you day trophy husbands? There’s another double standard… Guys still want trophy wives, just trophy wives with education and brains, only these women have better things to do than being with them, and so we have a bunch of unmarriable bachelors!
Watching Love Through a Looking Glass
Isn't that what we're all doing, watching those romance movies and everyone we know getting married? We see it in their eyes, in our parents eyes, in those movies that have touched our hearts with those beautiful intense moments. But does real love have those picture perfect moments? Do we expect too much? Or are we simply unfortunate?
The truth is, the world is evolving. There are already too few good people out there. We strive to become better, so we want better people, people who can love as much as we do, and take care of us as much as we take care of others.
Too many double standards are driving women and men away from each other. Men want strong, assertive, intelligent, career-oriented women who follow them in their dreams and way of life.
I'm not saying all men are like that, only that those who are good fits are too few. The few, the good, the proud. There are plenty of intelligent, educated women today, but not enough men to appreciate them all.
Be Proud!
If a guy breaks up with you don't go back and ask him to give you another chance. If he broke up with you, he doesn't really love you. So he doesn't deserve you and it's not worth making yourself suffer. You would only delay the inevitable.
