Nora in real life would honestly be pretty similar: a small town rancher’s daughter who went to the city to be a cop. She would probably be a little bit less idealistic, because in our world, actual magical superheroes aren’t a source of inspiration. On the other hand, she has to deal with less demonic death cults, so that’s something.

Hanako has big plans for her grad research. So far, she’s managed to balance extracurriculars and an archeology major pretty well, but now that she’s 21 and has taken up drinking and party friends… She probably has a professor she’s really loyal to (good for someone going into grad school) and a professor she’s really attracted to (good for her that he’s way too professional for that.)

I guess it’s probably easier for her to study when she’s not trying to hide the fact that she’s an animal.

Daeron would have a Biology and a History degree, although he has a phd in History.

He’ll teach History at a university in France, and have a lot of anti-war sentiments. Daeron, being in his mid-30s, spends most of his time dedicated to teaching his students and even looking after the pets he has at home. He almost went into herpetology, but stuck with having pet lizards.

He doesn’t talk to most of his family due to them having different ideologies, he visits his brother who also moved away from home. Daeron does live with his daughter, and is looking to live with Nulie.

Liath, well, let’s be honest, he’d still be working with metal. More of a structural engineer, welding bridges, patching cable, all that fun, but on the side, still operating his own home forge. When the Renaissance Festival comes into town, he sets up his shop there, letting the fire’s roar echo into the groves, summoning kindred spirits with the song of hammer on metal, ringing true.

Misty in real life would probably be a music therapist and author. She’d work to visit hospitals and mental health systems to play music with the patients then return home to her secondary job as an author, more than likely writing adventure, science fiction and fantasy.
