I honestly don't know how she does it, but Mona is still managing the production and distribution of food, bread, and is distributing necessities like water, diapers, and cooking ingredients to displaced people while she herself is displaced. Yes, during a famine. She couldn't have done it without your help from the last donation drive. Donating to these mutual aid funds of groups like Mona's is indispensable help and support right now. You're making a difference. Do not hesitate to donate, every dollar counts! Thank you all for your continued support. P*ypal, Chuffed, Instagram.
(If you live in India or Pakistan and want to donate, contact her through the means listed on her account).
GFM for Mona's family. GFM for Mona's sister and niece.
None of this is possible without Mona and her family's diligence and work. If you would like to send her a thank you note or well wishes, please include it in the replies to this post, in your tags, or in the comments! She always appreciates them ♡
The "aid airdrops" on Gaza are the most fucked up piece of theatre.
I say this for a variety of reasons such as:
1- they deflect from the issue at the core of this, as if the issue isn't with Israel besieging a whole population and denying entry of food and basic life necessities while committing daily massacres against them.
2- people in gaza are crammed into very small areas. 2 million people are squeezed into about 30% of gaza as Israel occupies the rest, turning 70% of the strip into military zones. Any airdrop will result in chaos and injuries and even deaths, which had happened before and happened earlier today as well.
3- it is the insistence on humiliating the people of gaza who are already starved and massacred every day. In no world is pushing thousands of people to line up for food after midnight or have them chaise airdrops meant to be dignifying. It's dehumanising to say the least.
4- the question that begs itself is: who will be able to get said aid? Can the maimed, injured, disabled, elderly, young children, doctors on call, etc... run after and carry these boxes of aid?
5- these airdrops are nothing but performative acts that Israel hopes will get it off the hook for manufacturing this famine or its policy of starvation that it had inflicted against Palestinians in gaza for years prior to 2023 even. As for the countries that are participating, it's their own vile performance through which they're hoping to be absolved from their complicity in aiding and prolonging this genocide.
As much as I want nothing more than for this man-made famine to cease, I also know that the actual answer to it is the immediate lifting of the siege and for the bombs to stop. Nothing less than that.
Fuck the PA.
They have been doing Israel's job basically, killing Palestinians including journalists in Jenin, using excuses similar to Israel's to suppress Palestinian resistance.
The West Bank is in absolute chaos and this time is not only Israel that's using lethal force and kidnapping Palestinians, it's also US trained PA forces, Israel's proxy in the West Bank.
Palestinians are literally fighting both fronts, Israel and the PA, both of which are US funded. Fuck the PA.
December 26, 2024
Israel targeted a clearly marked press vehicle parked outside Al Awda hospital, killing 5 journalists, seen here in their last hours enjoying a meal as one of the targeted journalists, Ayman Al Jidi, was waiting for his wife who was inside the hospital giving birth to their first child.
On top of this tragedy, three infants have died from low temperatures as Israel had destroyed the overwhelming majority of buildings in Gaza (77% of them to be exact), denying everyone in Gaza the right to access warm shelter.
From targeted killings to starvation, we are all witnessing Israel's incremental genocide of Palestinians in Gaza. As less and less news headlines cover these Israeli war crimes, the absolute bare minimum thing you can do is keep Gaza as part of your conversations.
The Jabalia refugee camp is literally only 1.4 square kilometres, which makes it the most densely populated refugee camp and it's being exterminated right now.
This is devastating in every sense of the word.
i'm tired of posting western news headlines just to point out their hypocrisy bc it's been a year of this constant shit and i'd rather focus on what's actually happening but god this one really is so far beyond the pale
One year gone
One year of killing civilians
One year of bombing hospitals
One year of bombing schools
One year of destroying a whole city
One year of starving people to death
One year of making people leave their homes to live in tents
One year and still the world just watching us dying
One year thousands are missing under the rubble thousands arrested with unknown future
One year of thousands of children lost either one of their parents or both
Thousands lost parts of their bodies
I can’t imagine this will continue for a year
Fuck this world fuck everyone
Peace is the white moderate's word. They would rather have a fake "peace" built on theft, injustice, and genocide than a real, liberatory peace which can only come through struggle and revolution.
During the Great March of Return in 2018-2019, a series of nonviolent protests by Palestinians in Gaza for the right to return to lands they were expelled from across the border, the IDF killed 226 people and injured 13,000. The injuries were often severe, with IDF snipers intentionally maiming protestors.
365 DAYS
And 76 year
guys everything that has been transpiring in north gaza is so insane that it truly boggles my mind how underreported it is. 8 days and counting of siege in north gaza that's killing hundreds of palestinians daily ("genocide within a genocide"), almost half a million people left with no food, water, or electricity, jabalia camp is literally being reduced to rubble as we speak, no signs of the bombing in lebanon abating with time, north gaza is utterly sealed off from the rest of gaza city, mass expulsion and starvation everywhere--and it's just getting worse. please don't be fooled that it's any better because people have chosen to stop caring. it's every bit as horrific as ever before
Considering the fact that the United States military is the world’s top producer of greenhouse gases and Israel’s genocidal bombing campaign is historically unprecedented, it is increasingly becoming clear to me in the wake of the devastation climate change has inflicted on the United States through Hurricane Helene and will soon again through Hurricane Milton, that the Palestinian liberation struggle is tied up with the fate of the future of the entire human species.
The ongoing genocide is not only threatening the destruction of the Palestinian people, it is a contributing factor to the destruction of humanity.
When people bring up October 7th sexual assault they conveniently forget that they've been completely silent for the 75 years worth of sexual violence Palestinians face at the hands of Israelis and that's why I can never take them seriously and know that the only reason they care is because the people they view as people were assaulted rather than those terrorist Palestinians. Did you know that my friends and family who go to palestine to visit talk about getting regularly strip searched? Being forced to be naked in front of your occupier is a form of sexual assault not one of these people cared about and continue not to care about.
