Fuck hiring managers! I applied for a really good job and interviewed well. They offered me the position and sent me the info for the background check. They wanted me to start right away so I gave my two weeks to my old employer. Now this new place has been jerking me around for 6 weeks even though I've passed the criminal and drug background checks. I worked in food service for 10 years and a lot of my old employers have gone out of business because of covid and they won't accept W-2s as proof of employment because it doesn't list the months that I worked there and since those businesses are no longer in business there's no one to confirm. So now it looks like I'm out of a job and I don't even qualify for unemployment 🤬
