I realized I never posted the finished pics of the plush goldfish I made like 2 years ago. Self-designed pattern based on a 3d model. For a first attempt, he came out ok. Debating making some adjustments to the mouth area, simplifying a bit, and making some little guys.

I did another Secret Santa trade thingy on VGen!

I have no idea if they're on Tumblr, but they're Proto_Gems on VGen at least.

Had quite a few false starts along the way, and though I'm curious what the alternate finish points would have been, I'm pretty happy with the fact I got to do some detailed line art and actually tried out some cel shading again. I am definitely not a cel shading wizard.

I've had this dang fish complete for like 4 months and only yesterday night went and made a video to show off how he animates and stuff.

I'm actually pretty happy with the result -- there's maybe a few things I'd tweak but in the land of having a fish making dumb faces in the corner of your Twitch stream instead of an anime girl I think this would accomplish that goal.

February was bananas and part of that was because I took part in VGen's Cupid/Secret Santa but in February thing. I wasn't allowed to stream it or upload WIPs that the giftee might stumble across so it was like top secret I guess. I already do NDA work for my normal job and here was fun work being rude like that too -- but at least the result looks good.

ANYHOO, designed this to be like a collectible figure -- still needs to be keyed and otherwise prepped for print, but it shouldn't be too big of a deal, and it's on my list of things to do. Majority was sculpted in Zbrush, but the hair and a few smaller details like the hair clips and zipper pulls were done in Blender. Rendered in Blender, except the turnaround vid below which was in Nomad because Blender wanted to get in a fight over the turnaround camera.

Character is owned by sp11ca on both bsky and VGen, not sure if they're on here somewhere in the abyss.

I hadn’t reopened Tumblr since everyone ragequit years ago.

I can see it still looks like the endless pit of obscure memes and random stuff, so that’s neat. But anyone who follows me still after a gazillion years, any thoughts on how it is these days from an artist perspective? Like do you get any visibility or is it like 90% of other sites where you just scream into the void unless you get lucky?

Not like I’ve ever had much luck with my art on social media but hey, figured I’d ask.

(also the hell is it talking about. Blazes?? I need missing e or xkit or something)

I find it funny that this appeared on my dash since I’ve previously heard the cliffnotes version of this match from harbleu’s Twitch stream -- he played for 4chan in that game. Wonder if any of the others in there went on to do cool stuff.

Doodled up a couple of avatars for mine & a friend’s char for WWS, which is yet again reopening. Well, assuming they finish up the site. :P Think I learned a lot while painting these.

I need to do some more samples and then I can sell commissions of them, woooo. More work to do, obviously.

I also am testing out watermarks since I had an issue with someone stealing part of one of my bird pics to put on a mug (yes let’s put a 200px high image on a mug, seems good). So, gotta do some more experimenting but they’ll likely be something along these lines.

I didn’t post these yet, right? Did a couple of sample badges for buddies of mine. :P IDK if Bryn actually uses Tumblr any more, but the other would be @budgiebin! These are fairly small badges -- credit card sized -- so that way they’d be easy to fit inside whatever badge/card protector you have onhand.

I have these listed up on my Commiss.io account along with some other stuff! Hopefully more coming soon, but if there’s some specific artsyfartsy thing you think I should list on there, lemme know and I can see about adding it!
