I really want season 5 of Supergirl to start with the scene where Kara goes to tell Lena who she is and finds Lena nursing a glass of whiskey and then she starts talking, you know, Kara Danvers rambling style because she is so nervous and Lena just stops her while giving her a cold look and says ‘I know’ and then just starts saying all the SG related stuff she remembers like “Really Kara? I flew here of a bus? I was getting coffee with Kara Danvers when you called? Or when you sneezed when we were being chased around L-corp by armed thugs and 5 of them just got knocked out?” And the more she talks, her cold mask starts to fall away and in the end she ends up collapsing in Kara’s arms sobbing and Kara is just so shocked that all she can do is be there for her until Lena calms down

Okay, so… Red Daughter is inside Kara now right? She has her powers, and probably her memories.

Including Red Daughter’s first meeting (and let’s face it, based on the stalker wall, infatuation) with Lena. Imagine Kara feeling RD’s curiosity about her friend, the irresistible urge to meet her, the fascination when she finally does.

The first meeting - the first look Lena sends her through Red Daughter’s eyes, the first smile, the first time she hears Lena’s voice. Kara hears Lena’s voice all the time, she’s her best friend, but now she hears it with intriguing newness through Red Daughter’s ears, and now it’s like each lilting note is heard for the first time again, and yet it’s still somehow endearingly familiar.

For the second time - or the first time if you think about it - she’s speechless and stammering under that piercing gaze again, just like she was when she first walked into that office with Kal. Only now, she’s in an elevator and Lena is asking her about that “vacation” she had taken. Except it’s not her. It’s an extension of her.

It’s like meeting her best friend again for the first time, only now everything is heightened. Is it because Kara herself had already met Lena and Red Daughter read everything about her in Kara’s journal? Is it because Red Daughter was fascinated and intrigued by her? And if Red Daughter was fascinated by Lena, does that mean that by some extension, since Red Daughter was a part of her, Kara is too? What does it mean, and how does it change their friendship, especially now that she has decided to tell Lena the truth?
