Tired thing to keep some kind of process going here. Here's to 2026

I took a road trip to New Zealand earlier and have been listening to the full release of that new Muse track, the one I've been dying for a week to hear now.

Great song. Really neat little features on it. Love the bubbling up of the synths after the second chorus before the full breakdown. Get a lot of feelings similar to those I had when listening to Fury and Easily for the first time, which is fun because it's like those two songs had a metalcore baby.

Have my issues, namely that I wish it was longer in some parts (Feel since Drones they've been getting it completely wrong for which songs to give an extra minute or two to, and which songs to keep relatively tight in a very poppy and radio-friendly way)

Really fantastic though. I am in LOVE with the vocals in the chorus. Some of my favourite emosh camp Matt since maybe Starlight's studio version.

Up there with some of the best songs they've done (Thinking top 30-40 at least) at this fresh stage. Will see how it ages.

That 8 string really fucks. Great bass. Maybe wish the toms sounded a bit better. And I hope that bubbly synth intro from the live gigs makes an extended version, or the album version or something.

I've never done an audio post on Tumblr before so clearly this is the correct one to be throwing at it. Anyway, hi. Been a minute, again. The world sure is a weird place in 2025.

Hello Tumblr. It's been a minute. My pinned post remains the same, things aren't changing too much there, but I guess a life update.

First of all, somehow Twitch has actually become a thing for me, and I'm part of a nice community and have something growing for myself. Like, really growing. Went from nothing to feeling like I have the world at my feet for growth. It's very fulfilling and making me rethink my entire way I do both video game and music content. I'm really lucky to have had this happen.

This has been helped, in no small part, by some amazing, amazing streamers who I'm now so lucky to call my friends. One in particular is an absolute superstar of a musician, and she has really helped me grow myself as well as having the pleasure of closely being involved with her content. Saying it's an honour is an understatement, but she's so fucking rad and the kinda friend I've needed too. I owe her a tonne.

So many awesome people over there. Not gonna link stuff as I don't want this little outpouring of emotion to be that kinda thing, but I'm just so happy. Really. And it all came along at a time I needed it the most. Forever grateful to a small little world.

Alright, this is going to be my last post on Tumblr. I feel I've hit a point where I don't have much interesting to post here these days, with it becoming a cycle of mental jots like it used to be, those not really being helpful to my mind anymore.

8 days left until London. 10 days until we all have F1 Sunday in a pub. Hopefully it all goes swimmingly. Hopefully. Maybe. Hopefully.

Sim racing is proving to be my saviour this year. It's become the perfect thing to unwind with. Even with a bad race, just being in my VR headset and putting all that concentration on getting the best out of myself is proving so useful. Something I still need to learn to apply elsewhere.

Anyway, I really have enjoyed the Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo at Monza recently, with it being a Special Event for this season in Assetto Corsa Competizione. Here is me throwing it through Ascari during one of my many runs.

Finally got myself a wireless mic to go with my VR setup. Will make it easier not just for my simracing stuff but also anything VR, seeing as that Hitman VR stream had to be done sitting down for the sake of my microphone.

Wonderful. Let's start a while new era of my adventure.

Needing spring to hurry up now as my right knee has been getting quite a bit worse for pain, probably from the cold house and all with having to keep the heating off just to be able to afford to have some oil for when it's actually freezing.

These last few years have been such a mess, I'm ready for the nice year where the worst thing that happens is a problematic pillow.

It's been a good couple of weeks for very good distractions from....everything.
