We have now created a new form to fill out if you're interested in volunteering as a pinch hitter. That means that if someone drops out and can't finish their assignment, you'll be contacted to see if you'd like to take over and save the day. There's no pressure to accept a pinch hit, but sometimes the stars align and the person who's left without a gifter ships your same ships, or has very similar taste!

First time participating in a AO3-based exchange? We've included a few suggestions under the cut.
How to start?
We know that it takes a while to sign up, and the Ao3 format can be a bit overwhelming.
We suggest to start by creating a placeholder sign-up first, with only the mandatory fields filled in, and saving the page. Ao3 gives you the opportunity to then edit prompts one by one, so when you're done with one request/offer, you don't have to worry about accidentally editing it by mistake and messing up all your work!
The "characters" field is being used to pick if you're requesting or offering either art, fics, or both.
The Ratings, Category and Warnings section all have the option to choose "any". Use this only if you're truly okay with receiving or offering anything and everything, since this fields are used to match (a.k.a. if you offer Any arching warning, you might match up with someone who's specifically requesting only fics with non-con or main character death).
Other suggestions to ensure we find you a good match:
Don't limit yourself to the three mandatory additional tags! Those tags are very good prompts you can give your giftee without having to come up with new ones yourself (for example, there are many AUs scenarios that you'll find all grouped together)
In the Offers section, let us mods know what you really don't want to create. No one else will see that section.
You can create a "Dear Author Letter" where you give a list of general likes and dislikes that you will be able to reuse in other exchanges. You can go in as much details as you want there!

Hello! This exchange is open to all ratings, but you can specifically request and offer pg-13 content and avoid the NSFW side of things completely. While we are not actively encouraging minors to sign up, we have no way of checking your age and we don't plan on doing so (it would be either extremely invasive, like asking for an ID, or based on nothing more than a number typed in your bio).
Keep this in mind and sign up at your own discretion. We consider fandom spaces at large as adult spaces and we are acting accordingly. If anyone feels uncomfortable with this we totally understand, and we invite you to look for SFW-only exchanges.

Hi anon here about the Vinsmoke Family tags. I’ve already specified in my requests but I’d like to request the tag for Sanji/Vinsmoke Ichiji and Vinsmoke Reiju/Vinsmoke Yonji both / and & if that is possible thank you
Hello! I already added a few different combinations but I think Reiju/Yonji was still missing. You'll find them in the tagset now! They are not all next to each other in the tagset because a lot has Sanji's name first and others are under the V for Vinsmoke.
Some basic statistics from the last events! Our participants have created a total of 110 works between fanfictions and fanarts! While Zosan being the most matched-on ship might not be surprising, there's a whole lot of variety in the collection, including works about very rare ships or not focused on romantic pairings at all.

Hi I’m having issue with one of my pairings, I’ve tried tagging however unfortunately the request isn’t letting me go through, I’m mainly focusing on the Vinsmoke family. Is there a way to request pairings?
Hi! Sorry that you were having trouble with tagging, sometimes AO3 can be a little glitchy. I think I saw your requests coming through, and I was actually about to send you an email to ask if you'd like us to add more specific relationship tags with the Vinsmoke characters.
If the tags you wanted to add were already in the tagset but they wouldn't appear as you type, you can copy-paste the exact wording and it will work fortunately!

hi apologies if this isn’t a great question, I’ve tried to put up my prompt for the fan exchange however it is not letting me do my single request and saying that I need to do multiple. Does this mean I need to make more than one request?
Hello! Yes, there is a minimum of three requests to make sure that we can find a match for you. Only one request would mean that, unless we got very lucky and someone else had offered exactly what you wanted, you would be left with no one to create a gift for you.
If you take a look at the tagset you'll find lots of more generic relationship tags (for example, "Monkey D. Luffy & Strawhat Pirates") that can leave room for open-ended prompts.
A good option is to add a request for your favourite character using the "Focus: [___]" tags—if your fave doesn't have one in the tagset already, send a message or an ask and we'll manually add it. You can then use the additional tags to make a list of genres and tropes that you're into.
Also, consider making a request for fanarts specifically, adding then what kind of visual art you're into (lots of colours, portraits, pencil drawings, etc. etc) to give your match something to work off of. Or perhaps a prompt or two for a comic!
