I know nothing about Colleen Hoover, who they are, what they allegedly did (apologize if I got the pronoun wrong) or other “authors like that”. if this is some Hollywood thing then nope, I don’t care about Hollywood’s cancel culture or “booktok”.

I focus on fanfics and my blorbos. and I am against censorship. I can dislike something in fiction and understand that the censorship of that thing does more harm than good, because censorship doesn’t stop at “things I don’t like or find disgusting”.

that said, I still don’t know who this author is and who “authors like them” are. but I’m not interested.

Colleen Hoover and fanfiction are very different. For one, no one makes money off fanfics. For another, its not published. Hoover, on the other hand, published a book about domestic abuse where the abuser is based off her son. I think that warrants criticism
