Hello!! Sorry this took so long. I really loved this prompt. There was so much I wanted to write, but I decided to focus on one particular night and set of gifts. I hope you enjoy this.

Someone has been leaving gifts outside his window.

Well, two people, to be exact. It’s obvious by the way the gifts have been wrapped. Each set has its own unique style and time given. Tonight is no different. Jason can see its elongated shadow as he steps towards the glass, streetlights making it seem larger than usual. The first gift of the night is here at exactly 8:40 PM – his wristwatch can attest to this – but there was no sign of the person who left it behind. Or scent. Whoever it is must be using blockers to cover their tracks. Jason knows he can intercept the exact time the person arrives, but what is the point?

As Jason steps closer, luxurious red paper makes itself known, faint patterns folded together to give it a continuous effect. It’s beautiful, really – the perfect gift for an omega. It reminds him of a history lesson at school. Mr Beckett was leading the class then, far before his retirement. He was a good teacher from his memories, but the man was a traditionalist when it came to views on omegas. This is particularly noticeable when it came to omega ‘courting’.

Omegas are creatures of nature, the old man said, wiping the blackboard down. Alphas need to prove they are attractive enough to be mated with. That’s when the courting begins. Why this was said in a history lesson, Jason does not know. Despite how much he hates those ideas, this is what it was. This is two people trying to court him. Jason opens the window and plucks the gift from the fire escape floor. With care, he places the gift on his coffee table. He can see it much more clearly now – the patterns. It is a rich gold that swirls and circles itself into an unidentified sigil.

A small pebble hitting glass notifies him to the next gift.

8:50 PM, says his watch.

Jason returns to the window and takes note of a metal locked box. Completely different from the red gift, he must say. But it does not have to be closed, if he so chooses. He only needs to find the yellow envelope. The one with the key felt inside. This was Jason’s first gift from the second mysterious stranger - an envelope with hints of future things to come. He picks up the box and places it side-by-side with the other gift. These will be placed with the others concealed in the guest room.

Two alphas aiming for his attention.

Does he choose, or does he let the games continue?

Unknown to him, Bruce and Slade wait for his answer, glaring at each other from their hiding spots.

Holy Batman, this read was absolutely streaming. There is so much I want to gush about but I’m afraid I will go on for paragraphs. This fic was so filled with emotion and sexiness I can’t even begin to describe how perfect it was.

Romiress has a way with conveying things so visually and succinctly that it almost feels as if the reader is transported into the scene of the fic. It was if I was in the room watching helplessly, unable to do anything. Kal is wonderfully dark, so sure in what he is doing. It’s a little frightening to think how Superman, if he truly wanted to, could become more of a tyrant. So absorb in his ‘truth’ he can’t reach true empathy. I highly recommend this fic if you love the Superbat pairing and are looking for something that goes heavily into the darker side.

Glitch by Morimaitar is not a fic to go into if you’re looking for something light. This fic gets extremely dark, but so worth the read if you can. Morimaitar is a skilled writer whom masterfully sets the tone of the story. The reader can almost feel the pain Jason is going through and the way Roman twists things, gaslighting his captive and making the younger man a shell of his former self is so masterfully done I can’t even truly begin to describe it.

If your looking for a dark fic where Jason gets degraded by Dick then this may be the fic for you. I love the authors balance between dark and sexy. It’s even better with the addition of Roy. Not to mention the how well the author shows off power dynamics and how much Roy and Jason are being bent and trained to Dick’s will.
