These boys got two very different ideas of a cottage getaway...
You should be more honest with yourself.
#if i show up to a function looking this hot you can safely assume I'm devastated over the loss of the love of my life to a decade long string of trauma induced lies and unadulterated bigotry
DESIRE (2025) | EPISODE 15
What happened to those kidnappers? - They dead 💀
Pay attention to what he says
Yeah..."In front of him". So Hua Yong knocked them out and probably had them taken to a another location where they were killed. Cuz ain't no way an extremely possessive lunatic Enigma like him would let go of people who tried to and did hurt his Alpha.
So the talk about sparing them? - He was just toying with his kill like a cat.
So was what he said to Shaoyou about sending them to the police station a lie? - YES.
Hua Yong's moral line is Sheng Shaoyou. Yes he consciously tries to rein in his darkness and be less brutal for Shaoyou's sake. But it only applies when Sheng Shaoyou himself is not affected and remains safe. If Shaoyou is hurt, he would make sure the threat is wiped out from existence.
Yes, I wasn’t sure if people would pick up on this, it’s straight from the novel.
You can see it in the scene near the end of the episode as well. Hua Yong does not like this line of questioning.
It's not just that Secretary Chen was touching Shaoyou (although I'm sure Hua Yong didn't like that either). Hua Yong redirects attention from where the attackers "are" to the security measures at the company.
And this line after the "it's already been handled"?
It's a command. Do not look into this any further. Even as a beta, I'd bet Secretary Chen felt the underlying threat in his bones.
swl: did i get a random omega pregnant?
gt: technically... no
swl: did you get your omega pregnant?
gt: no
swl: did your omega get YOU pregnant?
gt: ???
swl: DID I GET YOUR OMEGA PREGNANT?
gt: here's my resignation letter✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
Shen Wenlang: Remember when Hua Yong went to see a bunch of psychologists and an ophthalmologist because he didn't know how to cry? Just because Sheng Shaoyou likes crying omegas?
Cheng Yu: Yeah- our boy sure has suffered for his love!
Guess all Hua Yong's "suffering"
is about to pay off
Gao Tu, you're leaving the company....and me?
This is why
asking someone you secretly love
a hypothetical question
about your hidden identity
is never a good idea
i love how hua Yong's next strategy is that "imma just be here". forced and enforced proximity. I'm living at your house. "do you come here a lot?" "it's my fucking kitchen, hua yong."
Beyond the Bar 2025: Final Episode 12
What did you learn?
About love?
Yes. About love.

I have a lot of clown cars now loaded and rolling after episode 4 of My Bias is Showing?! I'm doubling down on my bet that Si Yeol wrote the song that inspired our teacher about his bestie.
Why? This line of dialogue here has been used by pining besties harboring secret crushes in kdramas (and other media) for decades.
"As long as your happy...that's enough"
Sure. Tell yourself that bestie. Excuse me if I doubt you given the nature of your wild revenge plot.
Although...this "we" does have my clown car shuddering a bit. Because it implies that the story of Jooha and his injury might be more complex. That initial "you can't do this" became "we can't do this" real fast.
And there's other indications of shenanigans under foot too...
Maybe this is really about a sense of guilt or pain over whatever happened that ended up with Jooha hurt and out of the band. Because this look?
It reeks of personal devastation and complex feelings. Si Yeol is doubling down too.
Only time will tell. In the meantime, manager and Jooha definitely still have feelings for one another. They both need hugs...from each other.
But even as the clown cars roll, my main thought is simple.
This
Is
Going
To
Freaking
Hurt
Poor teach. As the fuzzy filter keeps attesting, he thinks he's living in a dream world.
But he's actually involved in a treacherous game.
It's going to come crashing down. The dreamy bubble popped with the pin of harsh reality.
He, himself, wasn't actually wanted.
He didn't stand out. He was just conveniently chosen to fill a position.
Anyone could've been that person.
It was never really about him at all.
Ouch.
Those posters are coming down. The only question is whether they come down in anger or tears. I vote both. No need to choose here.
The pheromone patterns in Desire have brought me great joy over the last several weeks. I've loved mulling them over and considering all of the implications. What do these patterns really tell us about our characters?
Today's topic: Sheng Shaoyou
Standard caveat: Cultural differences are pretty much guaranteed anytime you talk about flowers or fruit. I also do not know the authors' original intentions. This is just the interpretation that I'm running with in my head.
Depending on the translations I've found, Shaoyou's pheromones are either orange or orange blossom AND rum. Oranges often represent prosperity, wealth and a host of other positive traits. However, since in the series it's clearly a flower on his hand, I'm going with orange blossom and rum.

In the show, Shaoyou's signature smell has been turned into a fragrance that is very popular.
Shaoyou blames Wenlang, but he should really thank Hua Yong for that. My theory is that he wanted to smell it everywhere so he made sure Shen Wenlang's company produced it.
After all, who wouldn't want to smell like Mr. Sheng? Mr. Sheng is incredible.
But it's a problem in Shaoyou's book. Because who would want their "special scent" to be worn by everyone in omegaverse land? No one. With Shaoyou's pride in his special status, it just makes the insult worse.
Hmm...maybe there's a secondary reason for Hua Yong marketing the scent. We know he's pretty much breaking down Shaoyou piece by piece.
Regardless, it makes Wenlang's insults (about his scent) all the more annoying for Shaoyou and delightful to me.
Whether his pheromones smell like toilet cleaner or not, there is no denying that they are powerful.
But beyond the in-universe lore about Shaoyou's pheromones is where the real treasure lies.
Orange blossoms have a lot of delicious symbolism that works perfectly for our S-class alpha.
In historical terms, the orange blossom was bridal wear. They are often associated with weddings and new beginnings. We know there's an enigma that's making sure Shaoyou becomes his "bride". His pheromones are wishing him happiness and everlasting love.
They are also a symbol of fertility. Orange trees can produce and bear both fruit and flowers at the same time. They can be and do two things at once...like be a powerful S-class alpha while becoming pregnant and bearing a child.
The fragrant scent of orange blossoms are considered to have a "calming effect". Novel readers have attested that Hua Yong is really only "good" at all because he doesn't want Shaoyou angry. And we've seen signs of that in the series. In many ways, Shaoyou's presence calms Hua Yong. Yes, he could be WORSE.
But even more fun? The scent of orange blossoms is considered an aphrodisiac. Surely I don't need to explain how that relates to our enigma going crazy over his scent.
Ok, so we understand our flower. But...why the rum? Well, the show hasn't mentioned the rum (that I recall). That's came from novel readers....although the name of the perfume is "Drunken Branch".
But my guess would be that alphas have an additional layer to their scent that shows their power and "alpha" nature. It's really common in omegaverse stories for those to be more "masculine" scents. Rum is an alcohol that works well with orange (juice)...so I'm told. My knowledge of liquor is abysmal.
The main thing I know? Rum is associated with (and stolen by) pirates.
Which means I really need a fic writer to give me an AU story featuring Pirate Hua Yong trying to steal rum but getting Shaoyou instead - the ultimate pirate's booty. Please and thank you.

Gao Tu: Even his Pheromones Have Identity Issues
Hua Yong respects Gao Tu so much because he's basically doing the same thing as him. Taking extreme measures to stay close to his crush. That's why Hua Yong lets Gao Tu have the control over the narrative instead of his bestie, Wenlang. The only difference is how they go about it. Hua Yong manipulates and Gao Tu self harms. But they are both doing The Most in order to be with the person they love in whatever capacity they can.
