Thankfully returned to town and found Rain Man in That's Entertainment, got Mission Impossible also, a fiver all together, that's 15 quid for 5 movies! A few good men, rain man, mission impossible, jerry maguire and intolerable cruelty!
Well hmv solved that problem! No rain man, got jerry maguire which came with another movie and a few good men!
Dilemma
I have one ten pound metrocentre voucher- I want to buy Rain Man AND Jerry Maguire. What if I don't have enough? Which one do I get? Yes- that is literally the biggest worry in my life right now o.O Rain Man vs Jerry Maguire- decisions decisions.
Scientology v.s You
Tom Cruise does not say "Your religious beliefs are batshit crazy" Why? Because you wouldn't like it, it's prejudiced, it's unfair. Look back through any comments you've made on the subject. He's a "crazy person", "freak", "weirdo" because of his beliefs? What makes you not the same- because your religion is more widespread? Scientifically, it looks like parts of your beliefs could be discounted. But you'll only ever believe you're right and I accept that- but you have to respect and accept other peoples beliefs too. I'm not trying to offend anyone here, and as an atheist I'm not on a 'side'- I believed in Christianity for a while because that's what the school I went to leant towards, but I decided I didn't believe and somethings didn't add up for me personally. But people are describing the 'Thetans' that Scientologists believe are a cosmic force that is the true identity of a person, the beings that brought the universe into being, as 'aliens'- Let me ask this, is God, Allah, or any other Gods for that matter- not an alien, too? The point is, really, who do you think you are, to say what religion is or is not 'right'- to say it's weird? Think about it - would you like someone to criticize your religion in that way? i'm only saying scientifically, that's what science has proven, some parts of religions don't make sense- any of you could be right- including Scientology.
Just had to post this :L
David Cameron and his 'Government' Vs. The Working Class
So, it seems that a lot of people, especially higher up Tory's, reckon the working class (aka me and quite probably you) resent them for being rich, essentially and living in a different world, so let's clear something up for them.
I come from a working class background. My grandfather was a signal man, my dad is a train driver and my mum worked in an office, which she gave up after her second child. My dad works most days and I don't see him very often. I'm not a chav-although I do live on a estate containing council houses and I attend a comprehensive full of chavs.
I don't resent their education - they got into Oxford. That's an achievement, in it's own right. They're lucky, smart, and obviously earned their place there. What are we expected to have against that, really? If you're working class, as long as you're smart enough, you could get in. It also doesn't make you a snob if you go to Oxford- although I probably would say they were snobbish- mostly because they take every opportunity to get a photo op with some working class people.
That's the basic problem. I recently saw a video in which a Tory PR type persona detailed that David Cameron had been given an England wrist-band, to appeal to the "type of scum who like the game." I resent that. I'm not scum, thank you very much- but if you need to be trained to speak to working class people, then that would suggest snobbish.
Our problem with the government is that they introduce a dozen things, cutting things that don't effect them- do they use the NHS? I'd suggest they have private health care, really. They don't have to ring up the GP and get told they have to wait till friday- that's NEXT FRIDAY- for an EMERGENCY appointment. Also on a more comical note- will pasty tax effect them? Do they ever eat a pasty- unless its a photo-op? No- I don't think so.
The problem is their policies and their u-turns,their general attitude and just how they govern the country- so maybe they should stop pretending "Oh it's just those working class people resenting us again- but let's quickly get a photo anyway" and should just get their act together- although that's incredibly unlikely.
The working class are quite happy being working class, thanks very much. Even if I grow up and get a well paying job, I don't ever want to be defined as anything more than working class. I'm proud to be- so what if we can't afford things till payday sometimes, if we can't afford private school, if we can't afford private tutors-I'd think some of us are better people for it- not scum, Mr Tory PR Person- come and say that to us faces wor ked man, we'll bash your f*cking head in mate eeeh neeee way man, who yi looking at?
Let's all take a moment to remind ourselves of the vital role of Nick Clegg in our government.
(check the photographer in the back- "hey, those people look working class, Nick, let's get some pictures with them!")
Yeah...we vaguely recall ;) -Insert possibly perceivable as racist joke in here- (although Jeremy Clarkson says you can't be racist against Germans because they were never penalized)
I'm afraid to, really. Apparently it would not have been funny, during the uefa match between Germany and Holland, for Germany to hold up signs saying 'We are invading the pitch'. Nor, apparently, would it be amusing for them to put 'Surrender Now' signs up.
However, it would have been alright for Croatia to have 'Can you AFFORD to score?' signs during the Spain match. Don't ask about Greece, I literally can't.
I never notice these things until they point them out!
Random Thought Alert: I wonder what the Nazi's would think of people today calling themselves Grammar Nazi's? Weird.
Both decisions probably true, along with doing nothing and arranging another meeting as soon as possible, to play tennis an whatnot. No crisis going on or anything :)
Good point actually.... this is why the economy is in the state it is
*not really it's greece us? America? David Cameron and Piers Morgan? Yes.
What letter is it with then, Ian? *pulls innocent face*
