𝟬𝟬𝟮. this blog is subject to low activity. i write when i feel like it. this is a hobby, and i do not intend to make it into a job. i'm super slow and am prone to disappearing for long lengths of time before returning.

𝟬𝟬𝟯. basic roleplay etiquette applies. godmodding, metagaming, and bad behavior in general will not be tolerated. do not attempt to drag me into any interpersonal drama. we're all adults here, and you can talk your problems out with each other in private. so long as you respect standard roleplay etiquette we'll be cool.

𝟬𝟬𝟰. this blog is rated NC-17 and will host disturbing and triggering subjects and themes. nsfw is always properly tagged. i will not write with anyone under the age of 21. no exceptions. furthermore, i ask that minors do not interact with me in any fashion. i block minors on sight.

𝟬𝟬𝟱. shipping is super fun, but i only ship with people who I'm friends with ooc for my own comfort. some of my muses are single-ship, but others are open to multishipping as will be indicated on the muses page.

𝟬𝟬𝟲. i'm super open to discussing and developing pre-established relationships. all you need to do if you're interested is hit me up in my DMs and we can talk about it! along those lines, i'm also open to plotting out threads and ideas with my partners. ask memes can be a great ice-breaker, but plotted threads tend to be more rewarding to write, in my opinion.

𝟬𝟬𝟳. since this blog was created mainly to interact with my friends, i will rarely follow first. this doesn't mean that i have no interest in interacting with anyone else so long as we end up mutuals. if my friends are interested in interacting with you, chances are i will be too.

𝟬𝟬𝟴. i participate in mains and, more rarely, exclusivity, but both of these need to be discussed before anything is established. again, this is most likely only going to extend to my ooc friends.

𝟬𝟬𝟵. canon divergency and heavily headcanoned portrayals will be a given. if you disagree with the way that i write any of my muses, feel free to block me and move on with your life. sometimes i put a lot of real life mythology and folklore into my portrayals, as well as my own ideas and interpretations of characters.

She tapped her finger thoughtfully against her cheek. Meanwhile, her heart had stuttered behind her ribs and her stomach had done a weird little flip that almost made her feel like she was going to float away. He can't just say things like that! Did he even have any idea what he was doing to her? No, wait, calm down Nicole. If she gets all worked up it will start to bleed into her thoughts and he'll hear way more than she intended for him to.

“No,” she replies with an unrepentant grin, giving his cheeks one final squeeze before she releases him to fuss with his robes instead. He no longer has the cute, rounded features of a child, but that doesn't stop her from seeing him as the same kid she used to tell bedtime stories to. “Won't it be suspicious if I favor you too much?”

"he does not ramble, he bestows his wisdom as a pharaoh" ...in perhaps a slightly rambling way. even nitocris knows that the other pharaoh could be a lot. "and don't do that, you'll scare all the crocodiles away." she is still holding him, plopping her chin on his head and smiling softly.

"Hey, you remember that I am his senior, yes?" He's definitely pouting now. Not at all like the very old man he is claiming to be while he graciously allows her to rest her chin atop his head. "Yours too, in case you've forgotten, yet I let you carry me around like I'm one of the Medjed."

He huffs, completely undignified, swinging his feet like a child. "Ah, who cares about some crocodiles."

she gives him a moment to collect himself - somehow he had a talent for reminding her of a rather high strung squirrel. "both." not that he should feel bad about that, perhaps mortal beings would have a harder time seeing through his facade. "something is on your mind then"

He felt like a clumsy child trying to navigate the intricacies of a situation far beyond him, even when it came to something as simple as her attention. "It's—" nothing, he almost says, but she'll see through him right away with such a weak excuse. "I'm trying to figure out how we're going to get an audience with King Haggard."

"alright alright, eyes closed!" he chuckled softly and closed his eyes per her request. he was curious and excited. a gift from his partner? oh, he just knew it was gonna be good!

Whoa. For some reason she thought it would have taken a little more convincing than that, but he didn't even hesitate. He really does trust her, huh. Well, that was part of the reason she got him this gift.

"Good boy. Now stay still for me." she said, reaching with nimble fingers to undo the leather choker banded around his neck. Stelle let her fingers linger against his pulse point — the last time she took it off she had bitten him riiiiight there and felt the way his pulse jumped under her teeth. Good thing his eyes were closed, otherwise he would've definitely known what she was thinking about.

The choker is replaced with a collar she had chosen specifically for him. It was made of a soft, supple leather that wouldn't be uncomfortable to wear, and she made sure to adjust it so that it didn't fit too tightly. If it turned out that he hated it she could always play it off as a joke or something and pretend that this never happened, but she was pretty confident.

Stelle leaned in a little closer, her eyes gleaming like the cat who got the cream. "You can open your eyes now. I think it really suits you."

        To anyone else in Belobog, it was just a receptacle. A painted metal cylinder with a swinging flap lid, bolted to the pavement next to a shuttered storefront. " Why, hello, gorgeous, " he greeted, gloved hands braced down on his knees, leaning forward to get a better look. " I haven't seen you around this part of town before. Are you new to the area? "

        He knew them by heart, could identify the specific scuffs and dents that mapped their history. This one had an elegant dimple near its base. A graceful curve that spoke of a passionate encounter. " Don't be shy, " said Caelus, a finger tracing down the side of its painted surface, following the line of a particularly tasteful streak of rust. " There's no need to be. "

        The trash can's lid opened and closed a couple of times, but no words were ready to come out. It was too flustered to do more than rattle on its bolts. " You and I, we're the same. " Caelus stopped tracing the rust trail, eyeing the handle of the lid. He wanted to lift it and dig his hand deep inside — to get familiar with its innermost contents and to explore every single inch of it.

        Fingers hooked under its lid's handle. " I'll be gentle. " Slowly he lifted the metal cover. He plunged both of his hands into its depths, feeling the black plastic lining bag inside crinkle for him. He let his palms slide down it, splaying his fingers to catch every fold. His fingers found the hidden hem of the drawstring, the slim plastic ribbon tucked away like a secret.

        " I knew you'd be perfect. " He hooked his thumbs into the loops, tugging until the bag cinched tight with a satisfying snap. Too slow to resist, the plastic strained, the contents shifting and yielding to him. He lifted his head to watch, as he pulled the bag out and up in one smooth motion. He bit his bottom lip at the sight of the bulging sack. It looked ready to burst.

        " You're so full for me. "

Ah, this sucked.

Just when he was about to conclude some business, that relentless guard captain showed up out of nowhere and completely ruined everything! It was the same 'ol song and dance with them. One chased, the other ran. One hunted, the other fled. This was what he gets for trying to do his business in the Overworld like any other upstanding citizen. Now he's sprinting down an alley to escape as if he were some common thief — neither of which he is, just to set the record straight. There's nothing common about his skills, and his business is always perfectly legitimate. That's a Sampo Koski guarantee.

Maybe he should head back to the Underworld and go hole up for a hot minute while he figures out his next step from here. He could always get back in touch with his client to set up another meeting, but this time he would make sure there wouldn't be any Silvermane Guards around to cramp his style. That's what he would have done if he hadn't heard the telltale sound of metal clanging and a . . . familiar voice.

Sampo had always had an eye for spotting anything that could be of interest to him. Things, people, situations. He was a man who traded in secrets, hoarding anything that could be used for a later time and storing them each away carefully. Whatever is happening here isn't exactly blackmail material though. Nah, it was more or less par for the course for his dear friend Caelus.

He approached silently from behind, watching with one raised brow and all of the curiosity he would usually withhold for objects of fascination as Caelus spoke to the hefty bag of garbage as if it were a person. It looked like the other two were nowhere in sight either. Good. They had the annoying habit of being way more suspicious of him than he liked.

"Well, if it isn't my good friend," Sampo said, arms spread open. "It's been a while. I, uh, hope I'm not interrupting," hey, he doesn't judge, "whatever it is you're doing . . . but, if you don't mind me asking, what are you doing?"

“Ruan Mei?” When was the last time she'd seen her? Probably while she was playing around with the simulated universe for those three geniuses last time. “Can't say that I have. What'cha need her for?”

little priest spotted ! she immediately lifts Im up under his arms and giggles "what troubles are you getting yourself into today? you know you cannot go and bother ramses or cleo, right?"

Oh — he's been yoinked! A wild Nitocris has appeared! If it were anyone else, he would be squirming and trying to smack them with his scepter, but, well . . . "Ramses? Are you kidding? All he does is ramble about some nonsense or another. I would rather dunk my head in the croc-infested Nile."

To say that she felt out of place would be an understatement.

A celebration of some sort — she may have let her mind wander a little while it was first being explained to her, but it was something about keeping the morale of the citizens up even with the ever-present threat of the black tide's encroachment. All she had really heard at the time was that there was going to be a huge party with all sorts of delicious food, drinking, and dancing which sounded like her kind of place.

It's not that it was even a very formal event that she felt so restless. No, it's these new clothes that Aglaea had made for her to wear for the celebration.

The clothing is finer than anything Stelle has probably ever worn before. The fabric itself was made out of crisp linen perfect for warm summer days, accented with blue at the hems and stitched with exquisite gold embroidery. Aglaea had a knowing smile when she helped her put it on properly, tying a rich blue sash around her waist and fastening the pins at her shoulders. When she had asked her what that smile was for, Aglaea had simply hummed softly to herself and then told her, "Stand still unless you wish to be poked by one of these pins."

The first glimpse she caught of herself in the mirror had given her pause. Aglaea's craftsmanship is unmatched by any she has seen before, but that's the problem. Isn't this a little too . . . nice for her? She wouldn't say that her own clothes were rags, but wearing something so fine felt strange. Doesn't she look weird?

Will he think she looks weird?

The festivities are in full-swing now. Drunken laughter rings out from Marmoreal Market where people were indulging in drink and the vast array of stalls laden with food that had been set up for the celebrations. There's live music being played in Kephale Plaza and people dancing under the eternally shining sun. Meanwhile, she's chatting away with one of the scholars from the grove with a cup of honey brew in her hand, listening to them drone on about something she doesn't really care about while she tries not to fuss with her dress too much.

Then Phainon descends like an angel to rescue her from the conversation, the smile on his face immediately melting whatever worries she had away. He looks so cute when he smiles, Stelle thinks, as the scholar excuses themselves. He takes her hand with a flourish, bending to press a kiss to the top of it with eyes that look both hopeful and mischievous, and invites her to dance. Heat creeps up the back of her neck. It's silly — they've done way more than this before, but seeing him like this still makes her stomach flutter with butterflies.

"Will you be mad if I step on your feet?" Stelle grins, the honey brew in her hand left forgotten on the fountain's railing. She grips his hand tighter. "I can't promise that my dancing skills are as good as my fighting skills."

It's not even a question about which one is superior!

“Hot baths are the best,” she answers, because duh, obviously. There's nothing better after a long day when her muscles are sore and stiff than sinking into a nice, hot bath, the steam swirling and making her feel a little lightheaded, warmth soaking into her bones and melting all of her stress and worries away. Not to mention that the baths here in Amphoreus beat anything else. Stelle could stay in the bath for hours . . . just thinking about it is almost as relaxing as the actual experience.

But the mention of a contest has her perking.

Unfortunately — much to her dismay — she hadn't been present to see Phainon and Mydei's competition. At least Hyacine hadn't been stingy with the details. They did all of that in their full sets of armor. Stelle had given Dan Heng a sidelong glance then, as if to say, ‘yeah, that sounds like something they would do’.

“A contest like the one the two of you had?" She grins, hands perched on her hips. “Okay, sure. But," mischief glints in her eyes, "whoever loses should treat the winner to pancakes at that café we went to last time.”

a stomp of a cloven hoof was given to gently pull the magician's attention away from what he was doing and onto her. "you are brooding."

"Huh?” He had been fidgeting with a loose thread coming apart from his cloak — he'll have to poke himself with a damn needle to mend it again soon — but his hand snaps away as soon as his is aware she's turned her attention to him. “Am I that bad at hiding it, or is it just your intuition?”

you’re the sudden joy of a compliment from a stranger passing in the street. the moment when someone’s trying not to smile and finally yields. the first night in a new city grappling with what you’ve just done. there’s no going back, only your new reality—strange but not bad. just new. you sometimes have a hard time saying no or turning down an opportunity. you don’t want to miss out, but all those possibilities at once can get overwhelming. know that there’s still time. life won’t leave you behind and it's better to travel further in the long run than lose stamina halfway. you are endearingly earnest and just a complete joy to be around. your all-or-nothing approach is truly awe-inspiring and being around you is a reminder of all the magic that exists in this life. never lose your spark—the world needs you more than you know.
