I am absolutely dumbfounded. I’ve been on Tumblr for about 6 years and i’ve been producing original content for the past two years straight and nothing on this website has surprised me more than here post. In case you’re new here ( you probably are; my follower count almost doubled thanks to this post lol) I specialize in landscape photography with the occasional dispense of good vibes.

I’ve taken pictures like this

Traveled to places like this

stayed up all night studying the milky way like this

Dabbled in mind bending creativity like this

Even visited different countries like Italy

But none of my posts have ever been as successful as this selfie with a cat

Animation test for the Ernest and Celestine tv series-

Apparently, this is actually CG - 3D models! Fascinating to see how they blended the 2D renders over the models. It keeps evolving and getting better.

I note that the expressions are less pushed, but it would be down to the limits of the CG models. Still, a great technical adaptation.

I’ve been thinking a lot about it and this is literally the best title of anything

so I guess it was some ancient Greek who said “truth lives at the bottom of a well” and I don’t know what he meant or why it stuck, but I’ve seen a lot of 19th-century references to it (because people always love showing off how much they know about stuff)

but I like this because imagine how fucking pissed off you would be if you lived at the bottom of a well in the first place, but then you had to climb all the way out of it somehow because humans were such unbelievable assholes that you were forced to yell at them in person

I ONLY JUST LEARNED ABOUT THE EXISTENCE OF THIS MUSHROOM????? WHICH ERUPTS FROM AN EGG BEFORE UNCURLING HELLISH ARMS, EXPOSING ITS STICKY MASS OF SPORES TO BE SPREAD BY FLIES ATTRACTED BY THE SCENT OF ROTTING FLESH???

Admittedly, I am easily won over by all organisms that attract flies with the scent of rotting flesh. But the octopus stinkhorn (Clathrus archeri) also has tentacles, a freaky egg stage, and blackish goop, so it’s my favorite now.
