I know they were fucking in 1967, I donāt have any solid proof but I can feel it.
they are NEVER letting themselves get separated again,,, also hikaru's smile is going to make me cry
Iām so happy to see how Yoshiki now openly shows his love for āHikaruā for the whole world (and āHikaruā himself) to see! Iām so proud of how far theyāve come to get here! Yoshiki saying he wonāt let āHikaruā go alone, that heās afraid he wonāt come back if he goes by himself, and āHikaruā blushing because of it! Imagine being an ancient monster whoās lived alone for years on end and suddenly having a guy who not only says he loves you more than anything in the world, but also says he wonāt leave you and fears that youāll leave him!!!!! I love my boys, I love the way they love each other, I love seeing Yoshiki so confident in his feelings, so certain that his destiny is by āHikaruāsā side, and I love seeing āHikaruā being loved the way he deserves!

john calling paul "gorgeous" in the novelization of a hard day's night
070626 // satou in the past (several decades ago)
currently, satou is more disillusioned with humanity than anyone else, and believes that nothing can be changed without the powerful force of "illegitimates" that are capable of distorting reality.
at some point, she abandoned her sense of self and became a pawn of the company.
speech bubble: with the power of an illegitimate, anything is possible. even wars can be forcibly stopped.
Maybe this is too random/unsubstantial of a question but Iām watching All You Need is Cash right now and they make a joke about the Paul and John characters getting married to each other (before explaining theyāre actually getting married to the Linda and Yoko characters). Where do you think the writers wouldāve gotten the idea to hint at McLennon from? Was it that much of an industry secret for these people unconnected to the music industry to be able to know, if that makes sense?
Sorry this is so out of the blue and I appreciate your hard work!
I've seen it, and the intentionally awkward way he delivers that line is so funny (for those who don't know, "Dirk" is Paul and "Nasty" is John):
If he really was trying to imply something there, then it's actually rather clear how he would have gotten the idea. The actor who says that line is Eric Idle (who also was the writer and co-director of the movie, btw). He and George were extremely close friends.
Eric once recalled a conversation they had:
"It occurred to me later that we both played similar roles inside our groups with big power blocks. Once I was moaning a little bit on Life of Brian, saying, āIt was hard to get onscreen with Michael Palin and John Cleese.ā Then George said, āWell, imagine what itās like trying to get studio time with Lennon and McCartney.ā I said, āAll right. Absolutely. Iāll shut up now.ā Then it occurred to me that yes, in fact, we were slightly the outsiders, playing similar roles in our groups."
So if George ever dropped a hint or made a vague comment to Eric about the intensity of John and Paul's dynamic (which is not crazy to imagine, given how close he and Eric were for many years), it makes perfect sense that Eric would subtly bake that inside joke right into the movie script.
