Very many white LGBT people understand the idea that the societal concept that CisHet is the ‘standard’ or ‘default’ state of a human, at best, is a flattened look at the human experience, and worse a dangerous idea that leads to discrimination. Yet not very many of them seem to grasp the similar concept that thinking white people are the ‘default’ or ‘standard’ version of a person also leads to the same thing.

me and @microbiologistmusings made a guide! we were talking about how frustrating it can be when so much (well meaning!) art of wheelchair users seems to get the chairs...not quite right. so maybe this will help :) i had a lot of fun drawing it and thank u to levi for your unending wisdom <3

man i totally forgot how weird people are about the “female orgasm.” like when I was younger i heard it talked about like an anomaly of science. and specifically people would ask shit like “what is the ‘evolutionary purpose’ of the ‘female orgasm’”. i dunno man its not hard to conclude that sex feeling awesome results in having more sex. but I guess that question seems more interesting if youre a fake intellectual and see men and women as different species and not made up of the same flesh and nerves. come on now.

Please please please stop saying "transandrophobia and transmisogyny exist, but transmisogyny is still worse." That's not how oppression works and this will only lead to more transandrophobia because "well, trans women have it worse, so this is fine" either coming from the oppressor or the person experiencing transandrophobia.

Oppression is not an Olympic sport, there is no "better or worse" form of oppression and acting like it only hurts more people. It still ends up trivializing the very real, lived experiences that trans men face. And please, you can't sit and tell me to my face that "corrective rape in trans men is better than corrective rape in trans woman", they're both horrible things that shouldn't happen!

Stop trying to figure out which one is arbitrarily worse and start actually trying to fix the fucking issue! Because if you actually cared about them, you would!

I'm sorry, but as someone who watched the "birthing persons" debacle in real time...

As someone who watched multiple people have their "why I left the left" moment over being asked to include transmascs in medical language...

As someone who watched transmascs be told to "shut the fuck up and quit whining" when asking for it to be called literally anything but "women's healthcare"...

As someone who watched terms like "chestfeeding" be treated as an utter laughingstock, even by "allies..."

As someone who had my cautions that abortion bans paired with corrective rape are tools to forcibly detransition trans men, be met with an accusation that I was the transphobic one for "implying pregnant men aren't men anymore..."

I have lost the ability to actually count anyone outside of the community of activists against transphobia to actually care about reproductive injustice as applied to transmascs, AFAB nonbinary people, and others. If I see a cis woman talking about "transandrodorks," I know immediately that she at best has never considered trans men who need reproductive healthcare, and at worst- and more likely- actively relishes the thought of trans men being denied lifesaving care to punish them for "betraying" womanhood.
