In the wake of the Calamity, countless lives were scattered to the winds, and among the few who endured were two of a rare and long-forgotten race: wolf shifters, kin who bore the gift—and curse—of slipping betwixt man and beast. Kuro and Renji were strangers then, each having lost hearth and kin to fire and ruin, fated to wander separate paths until destiny drew them together.
Kuro, taking first to the shadows as a ninja, made his way across Eorzea until his wanderings led him north into Coerthas. There, his gift was laid bare to the Temple Knights, who marked his shifting form as heresy most foul. Cornered and branded an abomination, he might have fallen upon their spears had not fate intervened in the form of Renji—a dragoon of Ishgard. For in that hunted wolf, Renji saw a reflection of himself, and with steel and oath he stayed their hands, granting Kuro the chance to flee.
Thus began a strange dance of fate. Though Kuro shunned words and cloaked himself in the guise of the beast, the two crossed paths again and yet again. With each encounter—be it amidst snow-swept wastes or dragon-haunted skies—Renji’s trust deepened, and Kuro, in turn, began to lower the walls around his heart. In the shadows of battle, Kuro took up the way of the Dark Knight, wielding blade and fury to shield others where light alone faltered.
But Ishgard is ever a city of suspicion, and whispers grew against Renji. Marked now himself as a heretic, he was ensnared in a web of falsehoods and brought to the very brink of execution. It was then Kuro at last cast aside his silence. Stepping forth in human form before all, he bared his secret and, with blade drawn, fought to wrest Renji from the pyre. Together they fled the snows of Coerthas, cast out yet unbroken, bound now not by fate alone but by choice.
No longer a knight of Ishgard, Renji turned from the spear he once bore and laid aside the path of the dragoon. In the journeys that followed, his bond with Kuro grew steadfast, until he could no longer deny the call to shield what he held dear. Thus he took up anew the way of the Paladin—not as a servant of nation nor faith, but as guardian to his companion, his brother-in-strife, his kin. From fang to flame, from shadow to steel, theirs is a tale still yet unfolding upon the roads of Eorzea.

Sorry it took me quite a long time to finally start an international shop!
