I think we aren't taking enough about how Raphael and Harvey have said that Emily Drexel Lela Kaldwin I was originally meant to be Daud's daughter, whom he raised as an assassin and to impersonate the real daughter of Jessamine, whom she had in secret out of wedlock and had to give up. So Emily would show up ten years later pretending to be that child

Daud has got one of the most grizzled faces I've ever seen and honestly its such a challenge for me to get his features right, but I've always wanted to draw him bc I like him and his face a lot. So I figured if anything I wanted to focus on his face the most.

I think maybe Daud was like a step off from Ziggy for me. Though they are both very, very different characters when it comes down to it, I think I like them both for similar reasons.

Though ofc Zig very much embodies that soft, caring, emotionally mature, paternal kind of character that I adore, Daud has a bit of a caring paternal side that is much more downplayed, gruff, and no-nonsense. I like seeing Daud and Billy interact, I love those two
