And if I remember correctly, Omniblade’s abilities were given to Genji? And Hanzo? Correct me if I’m wrong.

They were split between Genji and Hanzo.

Genji got Omniblade’s double jump ability, and Hanzo got the ability to detect enemies. Additionally, a lot of Genji’s original kit was reworked for what later became Sombra’s kit.

This concept was also used to make Genji current moveset(previously he was a melee hero that could backstab kill and become invisible)

Genji’s kit started off as stealthy and slow-moving. In early development he had the ability to trip an enemy and stab them in the back, but finding this concept to be unfun, they shelved that idea when the Omniblade was being shelved.

We don’t know all the details from his original kit, though most of it was reworked into what later became Sombra, and Omniblade’s kit was reworked into what later became Genji and Hanzo.

Namely, Genji’s double jump ability and Hanzo’s ability to detect enemies was originally meant to be the Omniblade’s.

then she went from that to Hanzo/Genji then the Hanzo/Genji split into two different characters who we know as Hanzo and Genji… :L

Omniblade predates Hanzo/Genji entirely. When developers started working Mexican culture into her appearance and story, she was shelved and some of the ideas they wanted to use for the Omniblade’s kit were passed/split between Hanzo and Genji.
