In honour of Mean Girls Day meets 20th anniversary of Harry Potter year.
You know who would have made an awesome Rita Skeeter? Â Meryl Streep.
Lupin chuckling as soon as he sees the message that their Map came up with for Snape, he quietly thinks to himself, ‘We are kings.’ Â
Seriously, rewatch that scene again just for his face.  You can see the exact moment when he’s like, ‘Damn, we’re good.  Long live the Marauders.’
All those times you look around in the sky for that plane you know you heard but just can’t find...
Rewatching the Philosopher’s Stone and all I can think of watching Lee Jordan commentate the Quidditch match is him broadcasting on Potterwatch <:’)  Ten points for Gryffindor.
I can excuse Ron telling the others where Bill and Fleur lived under the pretense that the Fidelius Charm had not yet been cast.  But how the heck did Bill tell Harry and the gang that the rest of the Weasleys were at Aunt Muriel’s when Arthur was their secret keeper?
Am I mistaken or do we ever see Lily and James wear anything but Muggle clothes, except as kids at Hogwarts?
All the married Weasley kids fighting over who gets to name their kid Fred :’(
Lupin and Tonks showed us the tragedy of dying together.
Fred and George showed us the pain of dying apart.
You will be sorted into houses.  Take a good look around, kids.  You are almost certainly going to be in the same house as your future spouse before you leave these grounds.  If there’s something you need to tell the sorting hat, do it now.  This all the choice you’re going to get, unless you want a major age gap, a language barrier, or an American.
[Horrified gasps from all the students.  Muggle-borns everywhere shaking their heads in disapproval.  Death Eaters’ kids looking around and saying to themselves, ‘Man, the Muggle-borns really know which end is up.  Talk about a passion for blood purity.’  Muggle-borns and Death Eaters’ kids becoming friends all over the school.  The second wizarding war never happens.  Ilvermorny is not invited to the 1994-1995 Triwizard Tournament.]
This can only mean one thing...
I wonder if JKR ever scrolls through Pinterest or Tumblr admiring the fandiwork.
What if Severus Snape had turned out to be a Squibb and his parents had abandoned him to a childless Muggle couple and modified their memories into believing he was their son, and they died soon after and he spent his life as a loner doing really sciencey things and using his natural DADA skills to work against bad guys, only working in black, and having a strange affinity for girls who didn’t like him back, all under the watchful eye of his butler, Alfred...???
I just typed ‘Voldemort’ and it auto-corrected to ‘Fidelity’.
Was anybody else expecting Snape to have to go into hiding after the HBP, pretending to work for Voldemort full-time, and never showing his face at Hogwarts again?  You know, to save himself from being killed by, oh, I don’t know...the Order, the Ministry, the remaining DA, Harry’s vow to rain certain death upon his head, Mc-freaking-Gonagall, the throngs of parents who wouldn’t be too thrilled about the new Headmaster’s resume saying, ‘Killed the last one’...???
Oh, but no problem. Â We can at least do away with the Ordere and the Ministry and the parents by casually mentioning the fact that...
VOLDEMORT TOOK OVER THE WORLD.
But seriously, though, was he not the least bit concerned that a gang of students and teachers (headed by McGee of course) was just going to ‘take him out back’ one day?
