It's been a long time.

For the last few months I've been working on opening an Etsy store, and list last week it finally went live. So far I have a few vintage buttons, a wreath, and a novelty frame up, but in the coming weeks more will be posted.

My party is starting a new Dungeons and Dragons campaign with new characters. I knocked up this doodle of my new character Ace, the freelance detective and wizard.

So far we’re throwing caution to the wind, and the party is now called “The Buff Bois” We bet on and competed in dino races, we play hired muscle for local mobsters, and we choose travel guides based on how fun they sound rather than on likelihood they won’t screw us over. Also, I robbed they guy we were pressuring for debt money and gave no shits.

Oh, and my spellbook is bright pink and is covered in Lazer Blazer stickers. Unicorns, rainbows, tigers...oh my!

I know I've been quiet on the drawing front, life's been busy busy :P Got distracted during a boring literature review in class and started doodling for the first time in while. Ended up with a stubborn Stevie and some hand style experiments.

The Superb Owl is still going, but my back is killing me so I’m going to stop drawing for now.

This is what I’ve been working on. While I don’t write fic, I love building head-canon and plot ideas. This is from one of my Harry Potter fic ideas that I’ve come back to recently. Something about Harry with a curly faux-hawk appeals to me.

Was just going to fo flat colour, but the texture from the guide images I’m using looks pretty cool, so I’m going to see about layering textures for the hair under the flat colour. Ugh, I need to do something about the mouth...maybe also the jaw shape.

Sob. Moving overseas is the worst! All my beautiful things. Having to seriously downsize my possessions to make the move. It's pretty devastating. Already let go of 80-90% of my books and might need to give away more still. Ugh, this is so hard.

Cake time again! Seems like I'm making all the cakes right now. Today is my parents 35th wedding anniversary so I wanted to make the a cake. It's carrot cake, my mum's favourite.

Sad tears. Thought maybe I could go see Hamilton (finally) for my 30th birthday in 2018...apparently not xD I wasn’t fully prepared for the ticket prices xD They’re a bit outside of my budget considering I can’t be certain I’ll have a steady job by then to justify the price. 

Maybe I’ll plan a trip to NY for my birthday and diligently enter the official lottery for each day I am there. That way I get a trip to NY for the first time regardless, and the bonus of a small chance to see Hamilton ;D

Oh! I never did post this did I? This is the full doodle I did a couple of weeks back for my Nerdy-BFF as her belated Christmas present. I keep giving verbal D. Vouchers, like “I’ll buy you £20 worth of “blah” when you move for university” except I then would forget what I’d said xD So I made actual vouchers! Awesome Kirk Money!

Ugh. So not ignoring this blog, just alternating between being busy and being sick. In this dreadful limbo between waiting for the outcome of my scholarship to come, and the date I having to move to Auckland for university (which I cannot afford if I don’t get the scholarship, if you see the dilemma). Also sick...why even am I so sick!? Ugh.

In other news, Jesus Christ Superstar 1992 Australian Cast Recording is as awesome as 12 year old me remembers. So there is that.

What a drama icing turned out to be! It all took a bit longer than planned and took up the entire 3 hours I had this morning xD Ended up enlisting family help to finish. Hope it ends up looking good when she cuts it. Wanted to do a silhouette of Loki’s helmet on the top but it proved to be one step too many, oh well. I’ve got gold candle to go on top as well.
